Main Atrium | Watchtower, Earth's Orbit
Tuesday, September 30, 2025 | 11:48 EDTClasses were canceled at Metropolis Horizons Academy for a while, because it turns out that Doomsday really did destroy a significant part of the school building. So, we decided to turn today into a take-your-kid(s)-to-work kinda day.
So, Lois and I have Jon and Elli with us, Bruce and Selina have Aurora, Diana's brought her son, Jason, with her, Barry and Iris have their little Tornado Twins, Don and Dawn, with them, Arthur and Mera have their daughter, Brianna with them, and John Henry has brought Natasha with him.
When the kids get here, they have similar reactions to the Watchtower, reactions of awe, amazement, and/or wonder. And don't even get me started on Don and Dawn. You know, there's a reason those two speed demons were nicknamed "The Tornado Twins".
But anywho, Jon and Elli are having the time of their lives, mainly because they get to use their powers freely, out of uniform and without fear of being discovered, but we all forgot about Landon Luthor.
"Jonathan? Elena?" says a shocked and confused Landon, "how are you flying? And what are the rest of you guys doing here?"
"Oh, darn," says a panicked, wide-eyed Elli. "Jon?"
"Uh, yeah..." says my son. "Well, Landon, um... you see Superman and Ultrawoman, over there?"
Well, hell...
"Yeah...?" quizzically replies Landon.
"Well, surprise...! They're our parents."
"But then, that would mean that..."
Yep. Here we go. Let's have it...
"Well, wait... then if Superman is your father, that would make him Clark Kent, and if Ultrawoman is your mother, that would mean that she's also Lois Lane-Kent."
"Yeah, that about sums it all up," says Elli.
"And what about the rest of you?" asks Landon. "Aurora? Wait, don't tell me, since your parents are Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle-Wayne, that makes them the Batman and the Catwoman. That would also make your brother, Damien, the new Robin."
"Yeah," says Aurora.
"Ooh, this is fun," says Landon, smiling. "Let's see... okay, Don and Dawn, between the two of you, your hyperactivity makes it obvious that your parents are The Flash and Jolt. Which would also make them Barry Allen and Iris West-Allen. And Natasha Irons, your dad, John Henry is an engineer of an elite caliber. And since I've also seen him wearing a ring with Superman's symbol on it, and the only human in the entire Justice League who is able to make a fully computerized suit of armor with the permission to wear Superman's symbol is Steel, that would also make Steel your father."
"Wow," says Natasha. "This kid is good."
"Thank you, Natasha. But I don't know who you two are," says Landon, pointing at Jason and Brianna. "I mean, based on how the two of you are dressed, you look like Wonder Woman is your mom, which would make you the crown prince of Themyscira, and you look like the king and queen of Atlantis are your parents, making you the crown princess of Atlantis. I just don't know your names."
"Jason Trevor," says the young prince, extending his hand for the Luthor heir to shake, and Landon shakes it.
"Brianna Tu'la Curry," says the Atlantean princess, shaking his hand, as well. "And you are...?"
"Landon Luthor."
"You wouldn't happen to be related to--"
"As a matter of fact, I am. That piece of garbage is my biological father. I try as hard as I can not to associate myself with him. Or even to invoke his name from my mouth."
