Chapter 18

- Story How We Meet Each Other -

[I need you at the office before 12:00 noon strikes.] Chester ended the phone call. 

I let a heavy sigh out. With my left arm leaning on the sink, napahilamos ako sa mukha at saka napatitig sa sarili ko sa salamin na kaharap ko lang din. Currently nasa comfort room ako ng girls. I excused myself out of the class earlier when I noticed Chester calling me just to inform me that something urgent came up today. 

"Alam mo? Ikaw lang ang med student na kilala kong hindi ganoon nakikipagpatayan sa pag-aaral. Nagawa mo pang magpahatid sa akin para lang makita si Yuwen--"

"I think there's a misunderstanding here, Miss Sabring." Walang ganang sabi ko. Formal na formal pa ang pagbanggit ko sa pangalan niya. "Chester called me kasi may there's an emergency. And I don't know what's that all about because he didn't even bothered to leave an explanation. You know naman Chester, right?"

"So correction, I won't be meeting Yuwen today." Dagdag ko.

"Wews... talaga lang ha?" She shook her head. 

After that, we went silent. Wala na rin naman kaming matopic or machika this day since lahat ay binuhos na niya sa groupchat last night. About sa kanila ni Chester and everything. 

"Mag-drop out ka na sa college!" Sigaw niya sa akin pagkababa ko ng SUV. 

"Pakyu!" 

Agad akong dumiretso sa practice room ni Yuwen where Chester told me to meet him which is located at 36th floor of the Zaile X Entertainment building. 

Suot-suot ko pa ang puting nursing uniform ko kasama ng ID ko. My hair tied in a clean bun. 

Wala na akong oras pa para magpalit. I'm 12 minutes late sa lagay na 'to. 

"Anong gagawin ko dito?" Wala sa mood kong tanong nang abutin ko ang ibinibigay na folder sa akin ni Chester. 

"I hired a writer para sulatin ang fake love story niyo ni Yuwen. There will be an interview tomorrow with the reporter sent by the TL News regarding sa relationship ni Yuwen. I want you to memorize every detail na makikita mo diyan because I don't want you to mess this up because once you made the slightest mistake, you know how huge the outcome will be so you better be doing your duty nang maayos." Paliwanag nito.

Tumango nalang ako. 

"The reporter that we will be working with tomorrow isn't just an ordinary one."

"Ha?" I tilted my head. 

Isn't just an ordinary one? So ano 'yong mag-i-interview? Alien? From out of this world ba?

"Nathan Alejandro." Chester dropped a name. "Does that name sounds familiar to you?"

"The hell... yeah!" Nabuhayan ang diwa ko hindi dahil na-excite akong nalaman kong isang Nathan Alejandro ang makakasama naming reporter bukas, but because I was afraid of that man. 

Every people that's involve or close to his name gets in trouble because of him spilling their darkest secrets everywhere.  A tricky man that would do anything just to discover someone's dirt. He is the main source of every fake news that's circling the whole social media. Nathan Alejandro is that reporter that isn't just a mere reporter. He works with A-list celebrities that's always after the spotlight and fame. He plays with the news more than anyone could imagine. Nathan makes everyone believe every word he say as if like its the truth, as if like he's holding the whole word with his hands, manipulating each part of it. Nathan is a dangerous man to encounter with.

That's what I know of him, the same way how Chester described him.

I'm planning to stay up all night to catch up on the classes I missed in my afternoon period. Also, to memorize my lovely sweet story how I meet my FAKE boyfriend.
