Its been weeks since the engagement party and Yuwen's sudden appearance there as my fiancé. I've decided to keep distance from him muna like hell... the fuck? After all of what he did? Sa tingin niya ba gano'n nalang kadali ang lahat just because he showed up out of the blue claiming to be my fiancé?
Almost a year, wala akong narinig na balita. Ni isa sa mga messages ko hindi niya ako nireplyan. He's not answering neither returning my calls on him! Then he'll be back as if like nothing happened?!
Because of him, I hated my parents for setting me up in an engagement with someone who I thought is a stranger to me but it turns out to be him. What a joke, Yuwen. Halos mamatay na ako kakaisip how will I get away with that engagement because I'm thinking of my boyfriend, of Yuwen but unfortunately, my soon to be husband and my boyfriend are one!
Now, I'm returning the favor. Ipapatikim ko sa kaniya kung ano ginawa niya sa akin for the past 8 months.
Tangina mo?!
"Stop avoiding me, Cathalina." Habol niya sa akin, kakalabas ko lang ng waiting room katatapos kong makipagusap sa relatives ng patient.
Hinarap ko si Yuwen with my eye twitching on anger.
"Fine! Sige, I'll stop avoiding you but in return leave my workplace."
"Keep your word, babe. I trust you."
"Of course, I'll keep my word." Sarkastiko akong tumawa.
He's smiling at me, from ear to ear. "Sabi mo 'yan. You'll stop avoiding me na."
"Oo. Talaga... humanda ka sa'kin mamaya." Pabulong kong banta sa kaniya sabay turo ng daliri. Halata ang panggigigil ko sa kaniya mula sa tono ng pananalita ko.
Yuwen leaned and without hesitation, he give me a peck on the lips.
My eyes widened out of shock.
"Be home. I'll wait for you, wifey." Yuwen then winked at me and patted my head after before walking out of the scene.
Talaga, ibabalibag pa kita.
"May asawa ka na po pala, Doctora?" It was Julius, one of the interns.
"Oh... nakita mo? Wala 'yon. Unggoy lang na naligaw." Sagot ko.
"Big time ka pala e Doc. Hindi mo naman kami ininform na honeybunch sugarplum mo pala 'yong idol ko." Natatawang sabi ni Shaira, the anesthesiologist I'm with in the surgery earlier.
"Magra-rounds na ako." Sabi ko, walang konek sa topic. "Sama ka, Julius?"
"Yes po, Doc!" Agad siyang lumapit sa tabi ko.
Julius reminds me so much of my younger brother, Howard.
"I'll be back to check his vitals." I'm talking about the patient who just had surgery.
"Sus... iwas na iwas sa topic. Kaka-rounds mo lang kanina, magra-rounds ka ulit?" Natatawang sabi ni Shaira. "We're fully staffed today, you don't have to worry. Pwede kang umuwi sa asawa mo anytime."
Inambahan ko siya ng sapak. "Mag-tongits ka nalang diyan para okay tayo aneh?"
She just laughed at me.
"Let's go, Julius--"
Natigilan ako nang inakbayan ako ni Shaira. Napatingin ako sa kaniya. Kita ko ang pagsenyas niyang pagpapaalis kay Julius.
"Pero magra-rounds pa daw po--"
"Ako nalang bahala." She even winked on him. Shaira then turned to me.
