Chapter Twenty-Three

Colby's POV:

I watched as Sam walked away. Once Sam was out of sight, I then turned and put my stuff away. I had just shut my locker when "Hey you whore." I then turned to see Sarah looking at me. "W-What do you want?" I asked her. "Where's your boyfriend?" Sarah asked me. "He's with Principal Smith talking about his absence," I told her. "Oh," She responded. "Why do you want to know?" I asked her. "I just wanted to feel his lips again," Sarah smirked at me. My blood began to boil as I looked at her. "No! He's My Boyfriend!" I snapped at her. "Now Go Kiss Someone Else!" Angry, Sarah backhandedly slapped me hard across the face.

"The only boy I want is your boyfriend and I'm going to take him from you," Sarah smirked. "Now to make sure you don't get in the way." My eyes widened as I looked at her. "And I have the perfect idea," she added. Sarah grabbed a fistful of my shirt and dragged me away from my locker. "L-Let Me Go!" I shouted. "Shut up you whore!" She hissed as she slapped me across the face once again. As she dragged me away, I thought about Sam. We finally arrived at the isolated part of the school. She then opened a closet door and shoved me inside. I then stumbled and landed on my butt.

"Now you're going to stay here until I come for you and so you won't call Sam, I'll take this," Sarah smirked as she took my phone away."No Please!" I begged as I ran to the door but unfortunately was locked in. "Please Let Me Out!" I cried. "No!" Sarah hissed. Sarah then cackled as she walked away. I then slid down the wall and hugged my knees and cried. I hoped Sam was able to find me and get me out. Moments later, "Cole?" I looked up to see Evangeline standing in front of me. "E-Evangeline? What are you doing here?" I asked her. "Your ring called me," Evangeline responded. "A-A girl named Sarah locked me so she can steal Sam from me," I said as I wiped my tears away.

"Don't worry Cole, my friend Gabriel went to get Sam right now," Evangeline said as she sat next to me. "I-I just don't want Sarah to take Sam away from me," I told her while still hugging my knees. "Don't worry Cole, Sam will never leave you," Evangeline comforted me. "I'll be here until Sam comes back," Evangeline said. "O-Ok," I responded.

Third Person POV:

Once Sam got the rings, he paid for them. Afterward, he and Jake went to the food court and got some lunch. Sam and Jake had just finished eating when Jake's phone rang. Jake looked to see it was Tara calling him. Jake answered and put her on speaker.

J: Jake T: Tara

J: Hey Babe, what's up?

T: Guys Colby hasn't shown up at all

S: What do you mean Colby hasn't shown up?

T: He hasn't shown up to the cafeteria at all. I'm starting to get worried

J: Don't worry babe, we're on our way back

T: Ok I'll try to see if I can find him

J: Ok call or text if anything

T: Ok see you guys soon

"Jake, we have to go," Sam said. Jake agreed and they both went and threw away their trash and left. Sam and Jake had just come out of the mall when "Samuel!" Sam turned to see Gabriel walking toward him. "Gabriel? What are you doing here?" Sam asked. "Evangeline sent me to look for you," Gabriel responded. "Why?" Sam asked. "Samuel, Cole is in trouble," Gabriel explained. "What?!" Sam asked. "Cole's ring called Evangeline which means he's in trouble and he needs you." "Then we have to go find him," Sam said. "I'll go tell Evangeline that you're on your way," Gabriel said as he left.

Once Sam and Jake got in the car, they both went back to school. Sam texted Tara and told her to go to class and that he'll find Colby. Once Sam and Jake got to school, they entered and went to Sam's locker so he could hide the rings. Once he hid them, he then shut his locker when "Samuel?" Sam turned to see Evangeline dressed as a teacher looking at him.

Sam's POV:

"Evangeline?" I asked. "Samuel, I know where Cole is," Evangeline said. My eyes widened as I looked at her. "Ok, Jake you go to class and I'll go get Colby," I told him. "Ok brother," Jake said as he walked away. I then followed Evangeline to the isolated part of the school until we stopped at a closet. "He's locked inside," Evangeline said. "What?!" I asked her. "We need to get Cole out of there," Evangeline said. From the corner of my eyes, I saw a janitor. I then ran up to him.

"Excuse me sir, but I need you to open this closet," I told him while pointing at the specific one. "Why do you need me to open it?" the janitor asked. "I was told a student got locked in," Evangeline added. "Oh dear let's see about this," the janitor then went and open the door. Once the door was opened, my eyes widened seeing Colby hugging his knees. "Colby!" I called him. Colby looked up and instantly got up and ran into my arms. "Thank you, sir," I thanked the janitor. "You're welcome, now I must get going." Soon the janitor left.

"I'll leave you two to talk," Evangeline said. "Thanks, Evangeline," I responded. Evangeline smiled as she left. "Baby, what happened? Why were you in the closet?" I asked. "I-It was Sarah, she locked me in the closet because she wants to take you away from me," Colby sobbed. My eyes widened in disbelief, I couldn't believe what Colby told me. "Why didn't you call or text Tara, Jake, or me?" I asked him. "S-She took my phone," Colby responded. "Don't worry baby, we'll get it back," I told him. "Now we better get to sixth period since we already missed half of fifth," I told him. I then grabbed Colby's hand and went to our lockers to grab our stuff for class.
