Chapter Forty-Two

Sam's POV:

"Hey guys, is it me, or is Colby taking long? I mean it usually doesn't take twenty minutes to talk to a teacher," I said. "Yeah you're right Sam," Tara said. Suddenly my phone rang, so I answered.

S: Hello?

C: S-Sam!

S: Colby? Colby, where are you?

S: Colby, are you there?

The line soon went dead. "What's wrong Sam?" Tara asked. "I don't know, Colby called me but before he could tell me where he was the line went dead," I replied. "We better go find him," Jake said. We then got up and dumped our trays and went to find Colby. We decided to go outside and looked for him. I then pulled my phone out and called him. Soon enough a phone was heard ringing close by.

We then ran to the back of the school and were horrified to see Colby in a puddle of blood. "Oh My God Colby!" I called as I ran to him. "Tara go get Principal Smith, Jake help me stop the bleeding." Tara ran back to get Principal Smith while Jake helped me stop the bleeding. "Oh My Goodness, What Happened?!" I then looked to see Principal Smith and Tara running our way. "We don't know Principal Smith, we came looking for Colby and we found him in a puddle of his own blood," I explained. "Ok, let me call an ambulance," Principal Smith said.

Soon enough an ambulance came and the paramedics came and took Colby. I then rode along with them as I called Colby's mom and my parents along with Evangeline and the angels. Once we got to the hospital, Colby was rushed to urgent care and I went to sit in the waiting room. A few moments later, "Samuel!" I then looked up to see Lesa, my parents, Evangeline, and the angels along with Jake and Tara running my way. I then went up and hugged Lesa along with my mom. "Samuel, what happened?" Evangeline asked me. I then explained everything I knew to them. Moments later, a doctor came out and asked for Colby. We all got up and walked up to her. "I'm Cole's mother," Lesa said. "I'm his boyfriend and they are his aunts and uncles and cousins," I explained.

The nurse led us to Colby's room. "Thanks to your smart thinking to stop the bleeding, we were able to save him," the nurse said. "We found out that Cole had about eight stab wounds on his chest and his throat was slit open." We all gasped in utter shock. "Fortunately, his throat wasn't slit to deep and we were able to stitch him up. He'll be able to go home tomorrow," the nurse said. "Now if you please excuse me, I have to go check on the other patients." We then thanked the nurse as she left. We then opened the door and saw that Colby was sitting looking at his hands.

"Colby!" I cried as I ran and gently hugged him. Colby gently hugged me back. "Oh baby, I'm glad you're ok," I said as I let him go. Soon everyone took turns hugging him back. "Baby, please tell us what happened," I told him. Colby fiddled with his fingers as he looked down. "I-It was Sarah, she came up to me so I told her to leave me alone but she got mad and slapped me hard across the face. She then dragged me to the back of the school where she brutally attacked me by stabbing me to the point of slitting my throat," Colby explained as he sobbed.

I then gently hugged him as I whispered sweet nothings to him. "Don't worry love, we'll make sure Sarah never hurts you again," I told him as I caressed his face. "Samuel's right Cole, we'll make sure Sarah is sent back to hell," Evangeline added. That night, I was able to get permission to stay the night with Colby. The next day, Lesa came and brought us each clothes to change into. Once we got home, Colby and I gently kissed each other. "I love you," I told him. "I love you too," Colby responded as he smiled at me. We then spent the day and night cuddling each other.
