Colby's POV:
"Cole there you are!" my mom said as I got home. "Your school called, I can't believe you would steal answer sheets to cheat on your test!" "B-But I didn't!" I responded. "Then how did they end up in your locker?" my mom asked. "I-I don't know momma but I do know that I didn't steal much less cheat. Momma you have to believe me," I begged as tears were now slipping down my face. "I'm very disappointed in you Cole. Maybe you should go spend time with your father." "N-No! Momma please I'm telling the truth, I would never steal." My mom didn't say anything.
"I knew it, you don't believe me," I then grabbed my bag and ran up to my room. I then tossed my bag to the floor, got on my bed, hugged my knees, and cried. "God, why won't no one believe me?" I whispered as I sobbed. "Cole," I then looked up to see Evangeline and the other angels standing in my room. "We need to talk to you." I gulped as I looked at the angels. Instantly the angels and I were transported to heaven. "Cole, we heard about what you had done," my eyes glossed as I looked at them. "We're very disappointed in you," tears slipped down my face as I looked at them. "Please, you're my only hope," I begged. "Cole," Evangeline said but I cut her off. "Please, nobody else believes me, I'm not a thief, I was framed! Please believe me!" I sobbed as I begged on my knees.
Suddenly "Cole," I looked up and my eyes widened as I saw God standing before us. "Your Holiness," I greeted as I saw him. "I believe you, Cole," God said as he looked at me. "But your holiness," Evangeline said but was cut off again. "Haven't you heard of the saying, as god as my witness?" God asked the angels. The angels looked among themselves and nodded their heads. "Well, I saw what really happened and Cole here is innocent." My eyes widened as I looked at God. "So if Cole isn't the thief then who is?" Clarence asked. "Here let me show you," God said. With a wave of his hand, an image appears. My eyes widened as I realized that the image showed Sarah entering the classroom and stealing the answer sheets. The image then showed Sarah hugging me the next day and placing the answer sheets in my locker.
"So I was right, I was framed!" I exclaimed. "I can't believe it," I then quickly turned to see Sam, Jake, and Tara standing behind me and the angels. I then couldn't help it and ran toward Sam and launched myself at him. "Baby, I'm so sorry," Sam said, pulling away and cupping my face. "Sam you really hurt me, you all did," I responded with glossy eyes. "I know baby, and I'm really sorry. You see, I was confused," Sam said as he looked at me. "My brain was telling me to doubt you but my heart was telling me to believe you." "Yeah Colbs, we're very sorry," Tara said with sadness in her voice. "Yeah Bubba, we were just confused about what really happened," Jake added.
"How did you guys get here?" I asked them. "I brought them here," God responded. "Oh thank you, your holiness," I replied with happy tears. "You're welcome little one," God responded. "Baby, can you please forgive us?" Sam asked me as he wiped my tears away. "Of course I forgive you," I responded as I kissed his lips. "Problem is, how am I going to prove to Principal Smith that I'm innocent?" I asked. "Evangeline, I want you and Gabriel to go to their school undercover so you can tell Principal Smith to check the security footage," God instructed. "Will do your holiness," Gabriel responded. "But what about my mom?" I asked. "I'll go with you to explain," Evangeline added. "Then it's settled," God replied. With a wave of his hand, all five of us arrived back on earth. Jake and Tara went home, while Sam, Evangeline, and I entered my house.
"Mom? You home?" I called out but to no response. "Hmm, I'm guessing your mom isn't home," Sam responded. "I guess we'll just wait for her," I replied. Moments later, my mom finally arrived from what appeared to be the grocery store. "Oh hello boys, who's this?" my mom asked. "Hello ma'am, my name's Evangeline, and I'm a friend of Sam's and an angel from heaven," Evangeline explained. "Oh, why hello," my mom greeted back. "I'm sorry ma'am but there seemed to be a misunderstanding. You see, Cole here is innocent. He was framed by a female demon disguised as a girl named Sarah," Evangeline explained.
"A demon?" my mom asked. "Yes ma'am, you see, since Cole is a lost angel, two demons were sent to harm him. One demon named Chad was sent to torment and tortured Cole while his sister Sarah was sent to separate Cole and Sam by ruining their relationship." "But why?" my mom asked. "You see ma'am, Satan wants Cole's soul and to also turn him into a demon and have him fight against us," Evangeline added. "Now we do have a way to prove Cole's innocence but we just need your help by calling Principal Smith and asking her to change Cole's punishment and to have a word with her." "Of course, I'll call her first thing in the morning," my mom replied. With that, Evangeline thanked her and went back to heaven. That night Sam and I fell asleep in each other's arms hoping that Principal Smith will agree to our proposition.
