Hogwarts on this special day was filled with tears of joy from most of the 7th years. This would be the last breakfast they would all share together. After today everyone would go their own separate ways. Either to join the war on either side or to live their lives the best they could. Everything about their childhood was about to end.
"Attention everyone." Dumbledore boomed from where he stood at the front of the great hall the same place he stood when they were are just 1st years. "There never has been an easy way to say goodbye to such exemplarity students as the class of 1978. I mean you all have left a long lasting impression here at Hogwarts. Especially, a mischievous group of four. One even managed to make head boy an excellent one by the way." The headmaster smiled from the podium and he winked at the four Gryffindor boys. "And what better way to exist this school than by the way you first got here. You all will once again sail the boats but this time as a goodbye."
A loud applause erupted in the great hall as the 7th years got up and began make their way outside. The boats where making their way to the shore. Everyone was saying goodbye to their favorite staff.
"You four may have given me multiple headaches but I am going to miss you very much." Professor McGonagall professed as she hugged each boy. "You made a wonderful head boy." She exclaimed proudly as she embraced Remus lastly.
"I always new you and Adeline would end up together." Madame Pomfrey sang with tears in her eyes. "I wish you all the best from here on out. I sadly will no longer be able to care for you all but I am sure the women in you life will do it gladly. And we expect to receive wedding invitations soon."
"Kate and I plan to enjoy life together but marriage is not in our plans. At least not yet. So it saddens me to say you will not receive any wedding invitation from us anytime soon." Exclaimed a happy looking Sirius. His eyes landing on his beloved Kate who was talking to her cousin and his girlfriend.
"I personally do not plan on marrying anyone. At least not until I find the right person." Peter muffled as he chewed on his piece of chocolate.
"Lily and I want to carry out our relationship for a little longer before committing." James smiled on the outside because on the inside he had a completely different reason for wanting more time. "You never know, maybe we are meant to be with other people." In his mind he hopes that one day his true love will return to him. He would take all the consequences that came along if it meant having her.
"I know that there is no other for me if not Adeline. We have talked about marriage and we both agreed that no matter when we are both ready. It is just a matter of buying a ring." Remus beamed a certain twinkle of joy in his hazel colored eyes. The idea of marrying his Ocean filled him with complete and utter bliss. "I promise that you two will be the first to receive an invitation." His eyes began to scan over the yard filled with 7th year students. But he was unable to spot who he was looking for.
At the top of the astronomy tower stood a sadden boy in the arms of a red headed girl. Their embrace was long as it maybe the last time they hold each other in a while. Both their minds filled with worry of what is to come. One will be out of school and will have to deal with what is happening in the real world. While the other goes back home for another excruciating summer then will have to be back at school without the other.
"I promise to write to you as much as I can." Adeline muttered from Regulus's shoulder as he was much taller than her. He quickly pulled away from their hug. Panic evident in his face as he held her hands tightly.
"No do not ever do that." He warned worriedly. The red head looked up at him in skepticism. "Its not that I do not want to keep contact with you its just...that my parents monitor everything that comes in and out of our home. They would surely do something veil with any information they get about you."
