"I..........thank you..........You don't think it's too much then?" (Y/n) blushed, as she looked down at herself for a moment. Her brows furrowing as Arthur offered her his hand and pulled her outside to joining him, before slowly spinning her around.
"Believe me, that ain't too much............" Arthur replied, as he looked her up and down. Stopping turning the school teacher, as she came to face him.
(Y/n) couldn't help but continue to blush. She was sure that the net curtains that hung over the windows of her neighbour's front rooms, would be twitching frantically at this very moment. That there would be hushed whisperings about all this; but she didn't care. She had a chance to spend some time with Arthur; so, they could say what they liked.
"Well.........you don't look too bad yourself, Mister Shelby................"
"Mister Shelby..........? I thought you said Mister Shelby was for when there were others around or it was business. I don't see anyone............."
"You mean, apart from all my neighbours that are watching us now..........Arthur..............?"
"Aye, well, let em watch. They're all only jealous............."
"Of whom? Me or you...............?" (Y/n) chuckled, as she noticed the net curtains of the house across the street, twitch.
"Definitely me. Nosey bastards around here are only lookin cos they ain't ever seen anything like you before." Arthur replied, as he turned to look at the window that the school teacher had looked to. The oldest Shelby flashing a scowl before turning his attention back to (Y/n).
"You ready.............?"
"Just need my coat and bag." (Y/n) replied, quickly making her way back inside, before reappearing, her coat around her shoulders. Arthur offering her his arm, before leading her to the waiting car.

Arthur couldn't help but to keep turning his attention from the road in front of him, to the woman that sat quietly by his side. He was sure that she should be a movie star, like Mary Pickford or Fae Wray. That she should be in Hollywood, walking in Beverly Hills on the arm of the likes of Rudolph Valentino, or Douglas Fairbanks, not a school teacher on the rough, dark streets of Small Heath. But, he had to admit that he was glad that she wasn't an actress that thousands could dream of, could fantasies about. That she was just a teacher; because this way, she could be for his eyes only. His thoughts only. Which she had been since he had met her. Arthur sure that (Y/n) would probably slap him if she knew what he had been thinking; what he had been imagining. And he was sure after seeing her as she was now, it would definitely only make his imaginings, much more interesting.
"You look very handsome.............." (Y/n) suddenly said. Yet another blush heating her cheeks, as Arthur quickly turned to smile at her.
As far as she was concerned, Arthur was the most handsome of the Shelby boys. Finn was a little young, and far too immature for a sensible woman to be interested in. John was nice, immaculately groomed, and there was definitely something about that cocksure manner of his, that did make her smile; but there was something missing, something that the quiet and what might be described as, brooding Tommy certainly possessed. The school teacher not surprised that any woman would lose her heart to the head of the Shelby family firm. Yet for her, Arthur.........Arthur had it all. He was handsome, well dressed, with a mischievous sparkle to his eye, and a pleasing curl to his lips when he smiled. It was true that he had a dark side, that he fought with demons that only he could see. But whenever she was with him, he made her feel safe; made her feel secure. Made her..............happy.
"But there again.........you always look handsome............" The school teacher continued, her brows furrowing, as Arthur suddenly pulled the car to the side of the street and turned to look at her, before gently placing his hand on her cheek.
God, did he want to kiss her. He wanted to just forget about going to the Garrison and take her back to the house. He wanted to be alone with her, just he and her, without the rest of the family. He wanted to tell her how he felt for her, how she made him feel. How her mere presence could make the nightmares disappear. How he wanted to do nothing but keep her safe, protect her. He wanted to sit in the parlour in front of the fire; to lay his head on her breast and hear her beating heart, as he let her calm aura surround him. But he knew that if he didn't turn up at the pub, John, Finn, or one of the other bleeders would come looking for him, and ruin everything. And anyway, (Y/n) was a lady; not like the other bits of skirt that he had chased after. No, she was special, and she deserved to know that; to be shown that. That, and he wanted to show her off. To let every other man at the Garrison, every other man in the town, know that she was off limits.
"Did...........did I say something wrong...........?" (Y/n) asked, her voice soft, as she placed her hand over Arthurs. The two just sitting there for moment, before Arthur smiled.
"I don't think that ya could ever say anythin wrong. I just wanted to look at ya one more time, before we got to tha pub. Before I had to share ya with everyone else." Arthur explained. (Y/n) sure that if he kept this up all night, the blush would never leave her cheeks.
"Come on, lets get ya there, before they send out a search party." Arthur continued, before he reluctantly pulled his hand out from under hers and moved the car back out into the street. A large smile pulling at his lips, as he felt the beautiful teacher snuggle a little more into his side.
