Of all the men in England, of all the men in the world, in the universe, why did it have to be him........? (Y/n) often scolding herself when her mind would wander off to think of him; to imagine what it would be like to be with him, in more ways than one. (Y/n) sure that if her brothers, if her aunt Pol knew what was going on in her head when she thought of him, they would either lock her in the house, or never let her out of their sight again. But no matter what she did, when she was least expecting it, his face, the way he winked and smiled at her when he knew Tommy wasn't looking, would pop into her head. (Y/n) often sighing dreamily, as she thought about what it would be like to kiss him, as she wondered whether his lips would taste of his own rum. A shiver making its way down her spine, as she imagined what his rough hands would feel like as they made their way across her body........."
"(Y/n)............" (Y/n) looking up to see Arthur staring at her; holding open the car door and waiting for her to get out.
"Sorry, Arthur..........." She replied, as she climbed out of the automobile. Coming to stand with her brothers, as they all looked at the frontage of the bakery.
Tommy had decided that they needed a show of family solidarity, on this latest trip to see the London gangster, and that included her. (Y/n) having more to do with the family business than probably her aunt, Arthur and John would like; more because they feared for her safety than doubted her, but Tommy believed in her. So, as possibly the most level-headed of the Shelby siblings, Tommy would bring her along to certain meetings, and that was how she had first met Alfie Solomons. Though if Tommy knew about her daydreams about the Londoner, she would probably never get to see him, again. The Shelby's all looking at one another, before making their way into the bakery; greeted as they usually would be, by the much beleaguered Ollie. The tall, slender man, with a mop of dark hair, seeming to be a little shocked to see most of the Shelby siblings, but not saying anything as he turned and led them all the Alfie's office. The Jewish gangster leaning back in his chair and taking his half-moon spectacle from the end of his nose, as Tommy, Arthur and John walked in. A broad smile making his way onto his lips as into the room, came undoubtedly the prettiest of the Shelby siblings. The younger woman taking a seat next to Tommy.

"Are ya sure ya don't want ta come.........?" Tommy asked, as he, Arthur and John finished getting ready for the night.
"Nah, wouldn't want to cramp your style. Last time I went out with you three, Johnny blamed me for him not getting a sniff of skirt, that night. Said all the girls thought I was his lass. Not that he would ever be lucky enough to have a girl as gorgeous as me on his arm, if I wasn't his sister........." (Y/n) replied. Arthur laughing as John gave their sister a glare.
"She's right, John Boy, I've seen some of the things ya end up with after a night out......" Arthur agreed, kissing (Y/n) on the forehead. Tommy doing the same, before she ushered her brothers out of the hotel suite. Breathing a sigh of relief, as she closed the door behind them, then quickly made her way to her own room, removing the suit that she had been wearing during the day, and replacing it with a dress. Making sure that her hair and makeup were just so, before heading out of the hotel herself and into the London night, hailing a cab.
It wasn't that she didn't like going out on the town with her brothers, it was just that when you are in a club surrounded by three guard dogs, there is little chance that you are going to get a man coming over, asking you to dance. (Y/n) sometimes sure that a look from Tommy, alone, could put the fear of God into the heart of any man. So, she had decided that tonight, she was going out on her own; she was going to have fun and dance with every man that asked her. She was going to experience some of the freedoms that other women her age, seemed to be enjoying. And hopefully there was a man out there, that would be able to take her mind off a certain baker.

A car sat outside the hotel. A pair of blue green eyes focused on the entrance. Alfie knew that he probably shouldn't be there; that mixing business with pleasure, was not always the best thing, especially not when it came to the Shelbys. But since Tommy had first brought his younger sister to one of their meetings, Alfie had found himself having thoughts, lots of thoughts about the really quite beautiful (Y/n) Shelby. The Londoner never missing a chance to smile at her; to send her a discrete wink. And despite himself, despite all his insults about not wanting anything to do with heathen gypsies; when it came to her, he was willing to make an exception. Alfie sure that none of the brothers would like the idea of him with their sister; but that just made it all the better.
Finally, all his waiting was paying off. A smile coming to his lips as he watched only three of the Shelbys making their way out of hotel and into a waiting cab. Alfie climbing out of the car and straightening his suit, before walking across the street to the hotel; the gangster more than happy to make his way up to the suite he was sure that the family was sharing, so that he could have a private word with (Y/n). So he could finally get to be alone with her, without having to think about Tommy's evil eye, or that mad dog older brother of theirs. Alfie making his way over to the reception desk to enquire as to the number of the Shelby room, only for something to catch his eyes; (Y/n) Shelby, as he had never seen her before, in quite the most scandalous of dresses, making her way down the long staircase. A smile coming to Alfie's lips, sure that none of the brothers knew that she was heading out, alone. So, he would be a friend, and follow after her, for them; he would keep an eye on her, to make sure that no unworthy man, would dare touch her.
