~~Damien~~

Damien panted from the blast he'd given, his palms still tingling from the ancient magic.

Destroy enemy! Kill them all! Rip, tear, shred!

He shook his head with a little noise to try and shut the wolf up. It always loved battles, and was far too vocal during them. It was distracting and aggravating.

Smell blood. Blood blood blood!

He whipped around when the scent came from behind him, his eyes going wide as he saw Marie clutching her side, gritting her teeth in pain. Shit.

Blood! Blood!

He shook his head again and shoved the wolf down as far as possible. Damn thing. "Are you alright?" He asked gently.

"I'm fine." Marie hissed angrily at him, her blue eyes fierce.

"Marie!" Ariadne growled angrily at her. "You are not fine, look at you! Let him heal you!"

Marie glared at her sister, glancing back to Damien uneasily.

"Damien is the best healer out of all of us, Marie. He'll do the best job." Sebastian said, turning around once he was sure all the dark wizards had been taken out.

"Fine." Marie said, but didn't sound happy about it. She took her hand away from her side with a small wince, her palm covered in blood. She must have taken a pretty nasty confringo.

Ariadne whimpered softly in fear, because admittedly the injury did look pretty bad if you weren't used to them. Unfortunately he was very used to injuries like this, and it actually looked worse than it was.

"Hold still." Damien said gently. "I'm going to have to hold you steady, okay?"

"Hold me... ugh, fine." Marie said, tensing anxiously as his hand moved toward her.

He set a hand against her belly gently, knowing there was a risk of her falling over from this. It wasn't a pleasant feeling. He set his wand over the wound, glancing up to her and saw her wincing away from him, her eyes looking away. Why was she so repulsed by him?

Ah, who was he kidding, he knew why.

"I'll be fast." He said softly. "Episkey." He used his ancient magic instead of his normal magic to make the spell far more potent. A technique he'd learned after school had ended.

The blue glow from his magic flared brightly from his wand, flowing into her side as she let out a low sound of pain as skin started stitching together. She did indeed sway on her feet in agony at the feeling, her eyes closing tight as she gritted her teeth.

"It won't be long." He said in encouragement, watching the pale skin quickly meld back together beneath his wand, part of the swell of her hip exposed from where the confringo had burned away her dress. He let out a soft breath at the sight, but refused to let his mind wander into that realm.

As soon as she was mended he quickly took his wand away from her and kept her steady until she gained her footing again, before taking his hand away as well.

"There we go." He said with a bit of a smile, taking a step back from her.

She looked down at her side in shock, her eyes going wide as there wasn't even a scar.

"Special magic." Damien explained, holding up his hand, wriggling his fingers with a wry grin.

Marie stared at him for a moment as if thinking through something, before looking down anxiously. "Thank you." She said quietly.
