~~Ominis~~
Ominis spent long moments holding Ariadne against him on the couch, breathing into her hair to feel her, his arms wrapped tight around her. He'd been so scared he'd lost her, that he'd lost the best thing to ever happen to him.
"He'll take care of her, ma chére, come on." Damien said gently to Marie, who was sniffing softly from her tears.
"Ominis, I'm alright now." Ariadne said softly against him, but he could only let out a shaking breath in response. The sounds the dog had made while he'd been ripping into Ariadne, her screams of pain and terror, they would haunt him.
He heard footsteps slowly walking away before one faltered, the sound of running making Ominis tense a bit before slender arms covered them again, Marie hugging them tight.
"I'm so glad you're alright." Marie said in a voice that cracked with emotion, holding them both against her.
"It's okay, Marie." Ariadne said softly. "Go check in the servants quarters... I don't know what Kent did to Laura, but I know Olivia was pulled down the stairs. She didn't like how aggressive Kent was being."
Marie leaned back in shock, her eyes wide. "Olivia was part of this too?" She said in a small voice.
Ominis nodded, his teeth gritting in frustration that he hadn't done something sooner. To hell with the consequences, he should have just kicked them all out and be done with it. He'd let his fear of his family control him. Never again.
"Alright. We'll go see what happened. You two take some time to recuperate, okay?" Marie said softly, "I'm glad you're okay, sis. We have a lot to talk about when we have a chance to."
Ominis felt her move away, and the footsteps resumed out of the room and down the hallway.
"Reducto." Damien hissed angrily in the hallway, the sound of something disintegrating giving Ominis a fairly good idea what Damien was doing.
"What a mess." Marie sighed softly. "Scourgify." She muttered.
"Tergeo." Damien said as well.
"Oh, look at you. Full of surprises." Marie said with a smile in her voice.
"Tergeo is good for getting blood out of clothes... I figured it might work on walls too." Damien said.
"Do that often, do you?" Marie said while their voices faded further down the hall.
"You have no idea." He chuckled in amusement.
Ominis was left with Ariadne, and he continued to hold her for another moment before he felt her shift against him, her lips gently brushing against his cheek as her hand gently ran through his hair. The comforting gesture after everything that had happened made his heart twist, and he let out another shaky breath against her.
He stood up suddenly, an arm going around her waist to bring her up with him, waiting a moment for her to get her footing before he took her hand to guide her out of the room with his wand in front of him.
"Ominis, where are we going?" Ariadne asked in confusion but followed him without much fuss, letting him guide her out of the library and into the hallway.
"I need to make sure you're alright." He said in a tight voice.
He was glad she wasn't arguing, bringing her down the hallway toward the bathroom and bringing her inside, closing the door behind him.
"Why are we in the bathroo-" Ariadne started saying before her mouth was captured by Ominis, moaning softly against her lips as he pinned her against the door. His hands roamed over her torn dress, his hands running along the now smooth skin underneath, but he cringed a bit when his hands still slid along sticky drying blood.
