~~Marie~~

This was definitely not how she had expected this trip to go. She had expected a simple visit to some friends who were in some sort of financial or maybe family trouble or something. Not a goddamn werewolf.

They were sitting in a pub eating meat pies, and it felt so strange to be sitting at the same table with them. She didn't even know them. She was only here because Ari was here... and she'd even agreed to help them. Ugh.

She nibbled on her pie as she tried to avoid eye contact with them, not sure what to make of this situation. She could feel both of them looking at her sometimes, and it made her want to bristle angrily. She hated that... having men look at her like that. It made her feel so disgusting.

"I'm going to go walk around town." She said suddenly, wanting to get away from this situation.

She saw Ominis look over to her in surprise at her sudden statement as she got up from her chair.

"Wait, Marie, I can go with you if you want?" Ari said in concern.

Marie looked to her sister and saw the worry in her eyes, but gave a soft 'tsk' sound of frustration. "I'll be fine, Ari. Don't worry so much."

"There are dark wizards around. It could be dangerous." Damien said, and Marie wanted to cringe away from his gaze. Why was he even worried about her? He didn't even know her.

"I could go with you?" Sebastian offered.

"No." She said quickly, but realized how rude that sounded by the way they all seemed surprised again. "No, I'm fine. Really. I'm going to go shopping around." She gave Ari a thoughtful look. She was going to snoop and listen for anything unusual.

Ari hummed in realization and nodded. "Alright. Be safe, Marie." She said softly.

"But it's-" Damien started, but let out a low sound that sounded a bit too much like a growl. It reminded her of what he was, and it put her on edge that he was acting like nothing was wrong. Sitting at a table in a pub eating a damn meat pie as if nothing was wrong!

"I'll see you later, Ari. You too, Ominis." She said, looking at them anxiously. "It was nice meeting you both." she said, not making eye contact with them before she walked out of the pub to search out any clues for something happening.

Once out in the street and away from them she sighed with relief. It was easier when she was away from them. She didn't like the way they looked at her. Damien had a hungry look to him that set her on edge, and Sebastian's appraising looks made her want to kick his shin. She didn't like it. At all.

She sighed softly, leaning briefly against the outside wall of the building in frustration. She still had her hang ups, even though it had been a year, now. She couldn't tell Ari though. She would just worry about her again. She was already enough of a burden on her.

She pushed off from the wall, dusting off her green dress and took a deep sigh, setting her mentality up. A sweet girl from the countryside here for a visit. Easy enough.

She set up a little smile as she walked through the streets of Hogsmeade, looking around as if she'd never been here before. In actuality she'd been here plenty of times during school, mostly with friends from Hufflepuff. Not that she'd ever stayed in touch after school. She somewhat envied Ominis in having friends that still talked to him after they had all graduated.

But then again back in school she'd been a different person. Shy, meek, quiet... not at all like she was now.

Sometimes she missed the old her... soft and sweet, but now she was just jaded and twisted.
