~~Ominis~~

The conversation with Olivia had been... interesting. He hadn't sensed any lies in her tone, but if she worked with his family she may be so used to lying that it would come naturally to her and be hard for him to detect.

Ariadne had been rather bold with her questions, and though at first that had alarmed him, she seemed far more adept at navigating most social situations than he was. He would rather stay silent and listen, or ask subtleties to try and eek out clues rather than ask directly. He was glad to have her by his side in this, they seemed to make up for each other's weaknesses.

He did find it rather curious how excited Olivia had been at the mere mention of a holiday. She had turned rather quiet after that, too. It was an odd reaction to something he assumed would be so simple, but then again he didn't know the view of a servant and how they were treated. A question for Marie when she returned.

He sipped from his cup as he sat beside Ariadne, his free hand dipping under the table to slide along her leg. He smiled against the rim of his cup when she inhaled softly, shifting gently beneath his touch. He did love getting those reactions from her. The soft shifts that said without words how easily he could arouse her, the subtle increase in her breath in excitement. The racing of her heart as he slid his hand further inside her thigh over her skirts.

"Ominis-" she whispered to him in warning, since they were still in the kitchen, but they were alone for now. It was risky, but that made it more fun for him.

"Yes, love?" He smirked as he took the cup away from his mouth, knowing very well what she meant.

"Nnngh-" she gasped softly as he dug his fingers into her skirts between her legs to press against her core through the thick fabric. It was a tease more than anything, but it had the desired results. "You're insatiable."

"Only for you, sweetheart." He said softly, leaning over so he could whisper into her ear. "Once I no longer have to concentrate, I'm going to fuck you for so long you won't be able to walk straight."

Ariadne let out a soft shuddering breath as he moved back again, the soft whimper she let out more than satisfying to him. He intended on making up for lost time after all of this. He thought of what he could do, thinking back to those ties he'd used a bit ago... but he wondered how much she would whimper if he pinned her down and-

He raised his head as the second detection sphere went off, his mind wandering so much he'd missed the first. Damn, he had to be careful about that. It was annoying how much he needed to concentrate on these charms!

The end of the hallway, outside the library door, the first bedroom, the middle of the hallway... it was Laura, and she was on her way to start her shift.

"Mmm, we'll continue later, Ari." Ominis whispered to her, gently taking his hand away from her leg as Laura entered the kitchen, her footsteps hesitating a bit at the sight of them.

"My lord and lady, I didn't expect to see you both in here." Laura said formally, moving over to the stove to get started making dinner.

"I thought a cup of tea would be rather refreshing before dinner." Ariadne said with a smile in her voice. He smiled and nodded, but smiled more that Ari was so good at speaking in these settings. He was very happy to let her take the lead.

"I see." Laura said, and he caught a hint of unease in her voice. "Would you like me to wait to start dinner until after you're done?"

"It's fine, Laura. You can do what you'd like." Ominis said softly, guaging her reaction to that.

Laura went silent for a moment before she let out a soft breath, but he wasn't sure if it was out of frustration or relief. "Very well, sir."

The line made Ariadne shift a bit beside him, and he thought back to when they'd first met when she'd been taught to respond to everything with 'very well'. She wasn't the only one, apparently. He didn't like how uneasy the words made her, though.
