Grian sighed as he pushed all his notes on the mysterious rift in the cliffside in his base, it had appeared a few days ago, and Grian had felt it deep down in the mere code that made him. The magic from the rift tearing at his own Watcher magic. He had in a panicked rush contacted his admin who immediately inspected the rift. X did what he could but his knowledge on Watcher magic was insufficient to stop the Rift from expanding, Grian didn't either, so he decided to research every single book and scroll he owned about Watcher magic.

He hadn't slept since. He rubbed his eyes once again as he tried to concentrate on the galactic on the paper in front of him. His hair was a mess and dark circles had formed under his eyes. His  ruffled parrot-feathers were slowly fading into a galaxy of colors as the magic masking his wings disappeared as his tiredness grew. He groaned as he slumped his head down on the table, he was getting nowhere with his research.

The sounds of rockets nearby reached him but he ignored it, shrugging it off as probably someone flying over his base. Boots hitting the rocks behind him made him fall out of his chair with a yelp.
"Oh, sorry G! " Scar called put as he rushed over to help up his friend. "It's fine Scar" Grian yawned and rubbed his eyes, "I just need to get back to my studies"

"Grian, you look like shit" The elf exclaimed as he saw the state his friend was in, pulling the blonde into a hug. The parrot pushed the brunette away, "Jeez, thanks Scar" Grian rolled his eyes and tried to escape Scars grip, but failing miserably. "Let me go!" Grian slurred, too tired to speak properly. "Grian, no, when is the last time you slept?"
"I dooon't knooww, it's only been like 3 days" Grian muttered, giving in to Scars hug again, resting his head on the other shoulder, his eyes were too heavy and Scars shoulder too soft.
"Okay Gri, we're going to sleep right now" Scar stated matter-of-factly and pulled the light of his life towards the bed in the edge of the cave.
"Mmhhhh" Grian replied, reluctantly accepting Scars offer.

Scar laid down on the bed and pulled Grian on top of him, his head resting on the brunettes chest. "You're so soft Scar" Grian said, "and preettyyyyy" he groggily said, his eyes closing and he drifted off to sleep, unaware of the heat spreading across Scars face. The elf found himself comfortable in the bed with his crus- friend, yup, best friend, nothing else. So after the heat calmed down he drifted off as well.

A few hours had passed when Grians eyes fluttered open, it took a few seconds before he realized where he was laying, he looked down at Scars dopey smile and his face flushed red, "Hey Scars"
"Morning pretty bird, did you sleep well?" He asked, which didn't help the state of the avians face. Grian sat up in the bed and so did Scar, the latter chuckled, "you're so cute when you're flustered Sunshine"
Grian hid his face in his hands with a small groan, Scar smiled, "Do you remember how tired you were last night?"
"Ughh, yeah, don't mention it" Grian groaned, recalling his tired daze from the night before, Scar laughed, "Why not? You remember calling me pretty? I sure do, I even forgot to tell you just how beautiful you are songbird" Scar smiled, his hand on Grians cheek, "because you really are beautiful"
"Scaarr, I was tired, that doesn't count" Grian mutters, looking away from Scar, the brunette grabbed his chin and turned it, forcing their eyes to meet.

Time stood stil for a few seconds, the two men admiring each others beauty. Their faces neared each other until they were mere centimeters away, their eyes closed and then their lips met in a kiss.

"Wow" Scar muttered to himself as their lips parted, "wow indeed" the blonde agreed, turning Scars head away to give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Sooo, uhh, where does this leave us?" He asked and Grian shrugged, "I'd like for us to be boyfriends if you want to?" He suggested and the elf lit up with a smile, "I'd love that" Scar replied and enveloped Grian with a hug, pulling him down on top of him on the bed again for yet another cuddle session.

"Scar, I really want to cuddle but I'm still a mess, I don't think I've showered for a couple of days and my feathers are ruffled." Grian complained as he sat up again, escaping Scars grip. "Alright Sunshine, how about you go up and take a shower and I'll wait here for you, then when you're done I can help you preen your wings if you want?" Scar offered and the blonde agreed, getting off the bed and flying up towards the bathroom situated in the part of his base over the ground.

Half an hour later and Grian was sitting on the bed again, his hair freshly washed and smelling like vanilla and a freshly washed set of clothes. His wings were wet and heavy on his back. "You smell nice Sunshine" Scar commented and Grian smiled at his boyfriend's compliment, "Thank you dear"

Scar started preening and drying his still messy wingss, and Grian chirped happily at the calming sensation. "Thank you again, Scar"
"Of course, anything for you Sunshine, by the, if I may ask, why are some of the feathers purple-ish?" Scar asked and the Watcher sighed, deciding to tell the truth, he couldn't keep lying to his boyfriend, he wanted a relationship built on trust and truths, "It's because I'm not a parrot, I use magic to mask my wings but when I'm too tired to keep it up the illusion disappears" he stated, and Scar tilted his head, confused, "then what are you? I've never heard of a bird with wings like the galaxy and neither of one with magic like that"

Grian sighed, this was a reveal he had anticipated for long, one he had went over many times in his head and neither had ended well for him, maybe Scar would hate him? Just now as he had finally found love. "I-I'm a Watcher" he stated and silence filled the cave, Scars hand had stopped preening feathers and had stilled. "You're a what now? Aren't Watchers basically Gods?" He asked in shock and the blonde shrugged, "Yeah, basically, but I never wanted to be one so I fled to here, are you mad at me?" He asked, worry lacing his voice.

"Mad at you? Why would I be that?"
"I should've told you" The Watcher shot back, Scar chuckled lightly, "Grian dear, we all have our pasts and there will always be part of us we never want to share, but you are the light of my life and I love you" Scar stated and turned Grian around, his lips meeting the blonde's in a kiss, a reassurance of his love.

A/N:

I write a lot of Scarian (because it's my favorite ship), but what is your favorite ship? Maybe I'll include it. (Doesn't have to be a ship with Grian, but then it maybe wont be the focus of the story)
Anyway, thank you so much for reading!
