I'm sitting on a chair in the black diamond boxing gym watching Carlos and another guy spar while I have a small break.
My hair is sweaty and my breathing is ragged from working out nonstop since this morning before my fight tomorrow.
My opponent is a high-profile boxer. Anyone that knows anything about boxing, knows about Colin Walsh.
Born and raised in Ireland. Started boxing when he was 10 where he got the name Colin 'the hitman' Walsh for knocking his first opponent out in the very first round.
Colin Walsh comes from a long history of boxers. His father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all known boxers and as the only son of THE Carson Walsh, he has big shoes to fill.
Colin's father, Carson Walsh, was the youngest boxer to win the WBC, WBA and IBF world heavyweight titles and I'm sure his father expects the same of him.
Everyone is talking about our fight tomorrow night and all for good reason. Colin Walsh hasn't lost a single fight and neither have I.
I've watched videos of Colin Walsh fight and his technique is almost flawless. He's a great boxer but nobody is perfect. There's always room for improvement.
Alek has been on my ass about this fight because he knows this fight is a lot more complicated and important than the others.
I was more pumped up for the fight than nervous. The minute you're unsure and show any signs of weakness in boxing, you're screwed.
I don't intend on letting the talk about their last name and achievements get into my head. Colin Walsh is good but so am I.
I'm pulled out of my head when Carlos knocks his sparing partner on his ass and makes him groan in pain.
My lips twitch and I roll my eyes when he looks over at me smugly and flexes his bicep. "You're next" he points to me cockily
"My girl has a better chance of knocking me out" I smirk and cross my arms over my chest proudly
"I hope she does knock your cocky ass out" He sticks his tongue out at me like a child before turning back to his sparing partner
