One year later

𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐨'𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐯

In just a year, everything has changed.

I worked my ass off, got my name even more out there in the boxing world and started earning more money than I knew what to do with.

The first thing I did when I had enough money was buy my own house and make it my home. It felt good to finally have a place to call home.

Sergio's mansion was never a place I considered home. It was always another thing he bought for his image.

I was relieved when the mansion got sold when he got sentenced to 21 years in prison without probation, as did Ivan Volkov.

I didn't want to see it again and be reminded of him and the fucked up secrets that hide within those walls.

I wanted to be pissed at the crappy sentencing they got and I wanted to keep holding onto all my rage but I had a life to live now.

A lot of things have changed over the year but Alek and Carlos remain the same. They still run the gym and Carlos still pushes my buttons.

Alek couldn't stop telling me how proud he was of me when I started getting put on billboards and I bought my first home.

Carlos on the other hand just brags to people about that one time he landed a hit on me when I was distracted.

As for my friends, they're all doing great. We're all still as close as ever and have get-togethers now and again.

Grace and Ethan got married and are already expecting their first baby. Ella and Violet are dating and have been travelling the world together. Lucas and Amelia are engaged and just bought their first house.

And William, well...he's still William. He's doing pretty good for himself work-wise but he still refuses to settle down in a relationship.

All of my friends are living the lives they want and deserve and it fills me with satisfaction to know they proved everyone wrong.

We proved everyone wrong

Finally and most importantly, Ariadne.
