I don't know how long it's been but Gabriel and I have been playing cards through the bars of the cells to pass the time.
I don't know where he got the cards from since the officers took our things off us before they chucked us in here.
I didn't care enough to ask because he's been distracting me from my thoughts of Ariadne. Anytime I think about everything that's happened, it riles me up all over again.
I don't want to think about if she's okay or if that fucker Henry has taken her on another date. I don't want to think about it because I feel fucking helpless locked in this cell.
"She must be very special to you" Gabriel's voice pulls me back out of my head
"What?" I frown and look up at him to see him looking at his cards with a poker face
"The girl you were shouting about on the phone" Gabriel nods his head in the direction of the destroyed phone on the floor behind me. "I'm assuming she's the reason you're in here" he explains with a shrug
"Her psycho mother is the reason I'm in here" I clench my jaw and glance down at my cards
"Ah, she doesn't approve?" Gabriel gives me his attention and arches his brow expectantly
