I was definitely intoxicated. That was one thing I knew for sure but it certainly doesn't excuse my behavior. I knew I shouldn't have let Kendall talk me into coming out here.

5 Hours Earlier

"Oh come on, give me some credit!" He exclaimed, leaning closer to me. I shoved his shoulder and he stumbled back slightly. "I mean, at least I waited until Friday to bug you about coming out with me. I knew you wouldn't go during the week."

"And I'm not going now. I have a big test Monday and.."

"So study for it Saturday and Sunday!" He interrupted. I rolled my eyes as several people shushed him from across the room. Kendall glared at them. We were currently in the school library. I hadn't told Key or anyone where I was going so I don't know how he tracked me down but here he was.

"No. I'll study it now and on Saturday and Sunday." He groaned, putting his head on the wood table.

"You are no fun."

"Whatever. Just go to the club by yourself." I said, getting annoyed now.

"That's not fun."

"Then ask some of your other friends." I hissed. "Because I'm not fuckin leaving." I went back to going over my notes but Kendall didn't move. After a minute of silence, I looked up at him. He had his arms crossed and he was glaring at the table. It occurred to me then that he might not have other friends. "You do have other friends right?" I demanded.

"What? Yeah." He muttered, turning his head to the side as he leaned back in the seat.

"So you don't." He didn't reply. I groaned. "We've been at this school for nearly three months now." I grumbled.

"So? I never go to class and my roommates a complete dork. All his friends are lame asses and..." I cut him off.

"Fine." He stopped and looked at me.

"Fine what?"

"Fine I'll go to this fucking club with you." I said, closing my book and shoving my notes into my backpack. Kendall grinned.

"You're going to have so much fun." He said mischievously.

His idea of fun though was getting as much alcohol into me as he could without making me throw up and having the two of us dance extremely close to each other on a rather crowded nightclub floor. If there was more blood than alcohol running through my veins, I would have thought the whole idea of it was stupid but drunk Emma did not.

"Told you you would have fun!" Kendall shouted in my ear over the music. And he was right, up until three hours later when I was puking my guts out in the girls bathroom.

When I came up for air, I wiped my mouth on some of the toilet paper in the stall and flushed the toilet before stumbling out of the bathroom. There were several drunk girls in there complimenting each other as they teetered around in their high heeled shoes.

Brushing my hair back I walked to the sink and started washing my hands, resisting the urge to throw up again. Splashing water on my face, I turned off the faucet and gripped the edge of the sink trying to remember all the events that led up to this moment. It felt like I was forgetting something super important but right now I was too tired and hungover to remember.

Thankfully, I still had my phone on me, so I pulled it out and called Liam.

"Hey?" He said. He sounded a bit stressed.

"Hey, sorry for calling. I'm drunk and at a nightclub and I need you to pick me up." I murmured, rubbing my forehead.

"Emma." He said with a sigh.
