They requested for "hurt/comfort, therapy about self harm" So, I took that as therapy session focused on self harm, hopefully that works

"Pearl..."

A hand stroked through the smaller boy's hair, "You'll be alright... I promise, this will help you."

"I don't want to talk, it's difficult."

"G, you'll be fine." Pearl scratched behind the small wings at the blonde's ears.

And there, the soup group's resident moth left, the small avian left in front of the creepy building.

WHY THE HELL WOULD SOMEONE HAVE THERAPY IN A HAUNTED MANSION!?

Joe Hills, that's who...

Grian let a long sigh escape his lips, picking at the bandages that wrapped around his arms. He finally knocked, standing at the door for about half a minute. The door swung open, the familiar american giving a warm smile.

"Grian! I'm glad you could make it." The brunette welcomed the other in, "Sorry for the disarray of the place. It is meant to be a haunted mansion- so it's kinda part of the aesthetic... You get it, right? Oh damn it, I'm rambling again, aren't I?"

Joe led Grian over to a near seat, letting the small boy sit before he also took his own seat, across from the other. "I do hope the aesthetics of my starter home aren't too horrid for a session such as this. It is based from Elvira's House of horrors, so that does state something 'bout the place..." Joe took a moment, clearing his through before continuing to the actual topic, "If you are not comfortable here, we can move to a different space. This isn't the first of the sessions we've done together, I hope you've all together gotten more comfortable speaking to me. Pearl mentioned that you've been having a few troubles within your mental health. She gave me little info, as you should be the one to tell me yourself."

"R-right..." Grian took a breath, "I'm fine with this space... A-and... Umm, yeah, I haven't been the best..."

"Admitting that you aren't feeling good is always very difficult. You can tell me what is wrong. I will not interrupt, so you can signal once you wish for me to speak. And take all the time you need..."

It took a few minutes before Grian spoke. "I don't know what's wrong, I never do... I- I just feel like I deserve what I get... I f-feel like I deserve to hurt... I know- I know I shouldn't have- I- I just-" The blonde took a few deep breaths, eyes already filled with tears, "J-Joe.... W-why do people choose to hurt themselves..?"

Grian gave a small nod, letting Joe speak. "There are many reasons someone may choose to... It's not a healthy way to deal with anything, but that doesn't mean anyone should be blamed. Some people try to drown out other -mental- pain, or distract themself. Some believe they deserve it. And others do it for the rush of it- the adrenaline..."

"W-why do I want to hurt myself, Joe..?" Tears pricked from the corners of the feathered boy's eyes, "I- I relapsed a-again... I hurt myself- Why do I h-hurt myself...? It stings- but I deserve to hurt, d-don't I?"

"Do I have permission to give you a hug, or touch you?" Joe asked quietly.

"N-not a full hug... J-just- upper arm, back..."

Joe shifted his chair slightly closer, carefully placing a comforting hand upon Grian's shoulder. "You are not to blame yourself for relapsing, okay? It takes a long time to fully recover from anything. You do not deserve the pain."

"T-then why- Why do I hurt myself?"

"You got in a vicious cycle, of believing you deserve that. And breaking a cycle like that is hard. But you're trying... and everyone relapses. It's not something you can just stop without help."

"Y-you can hug me now... P-please hug me...." Those words were quiet, a small plea. Joe brought Grian closer, pulling him into a careful hug. The avian buried his head in Joe's shoulder, letting his quiet tears soak into the blue material.

"He fell asleep after a little while. I think it took a lot out of him. If he is up for it, next week, same time can work for another session."

"Thanks... This is helping him- right?" Pearl gave a small smile as Joe nodded, "I know I'm overprotective over him, but I can't help it. He's been through so much, and he is still dealing with a lot."

"I'm glad I can help! Also, you should probably bring him home."

"Right, thanks..."
