I think you just lagged into my heart [HC 8] (Fluff/drabble) {Grumbo}

So, I know... It's weird for me to be writing Grumbo. I am fully Scarian- but I had a cute idea that only worked for Grian and Mumbo... and it worked best for it to be romantic....

So this is my first and last Grumbo story.

There was a little running joke with two of the boatem boys.... Whenever they'd causally steal something from each other, they would claim it just lagged in their chests or inventory.

So finding a mustached boy looking through his chest was not much of a surprise.

"What do we have here~?" Grian questioned in a teasing tone, Mumbo letting out a yelp of surprise. Bones were visible in Mumbo's hands. "Are you stealing from me, Mumbo?"

"S-stealing? What? No- I just-" Mumbo looked down at his hands. "Oh, looks like these bones just happened to lag into my hands. Were they yours?"

"They are mine, Mumbo. Put it back." Grian instructed. With a defeated sigh, Mumbo placed the bones back. Grian walked towards his mustached friend.... Before tripping. Right into Mumbo's arms.

"You okay there, mate?" Mumbo chuckled awkwardly, holding Grian in his arms.

Grian's face went a bit pink, but he decided to play it off, "I think I just happened to lag into your arms." Grian stood back up properly, clearly his throat.

Mumbo glanced at Grian, not saying anything for a moment, before wrapping his arms gently around Grian's waist.

"Mumbo- what are you-?"

"Oh- must've been the lag."

"Mumbo, you cheeky-" Grian chuckled, before leaning up. He placed a kiss on Mumbo's lips, leaving Mumbo stunned for a moment.

"W-was that lag too..?" Mumbo mumbled after a few moments.

"Maybe..? Maybe not." Grian laughed, as Mumbo's face went a bit red.
