Heavy angst. Soooo, let me start with trigger warning for: Sucide. Sucidal thoughts.

It is an AU, but I think I don't need to explain much of it. It's kinda just, sad Joehills AU, where Cleo and him have a very toxic friendship. Also, permadeath, cuz why not.

His legs swung from the high ledge. Wind brushed past his face, moving his hair that tangled to cover marks that lay across the boy's face. The brown strands blew behind him, cuts relieved the cloudy sky.

"Oh- Oh, this one's good!"

A chuckle lifted from his lips, carried through the empty sky. Nobody to hear him...

Nobody to help him.

Nobody to heal him.

Nobody to stop him...

"I think I shall call this one..." The thought lay in the poet's mind, before finally speaking it into the world, "What is life for?"

"What is life for?

In a world plentiful with life, what is it for?

Why hold on, when any other poor soul could take your place?

I could fall.

Nobody would notice when I fall.

Fall to the raging waters below.

I can see my home from here.

What really makes a house a home?

When the soul inside feels hopeless, is the home there to hold them?

When it crumbles into the sea, it will fall like the creator who held up those cracking walls.

The creator who fell before it.

The orchids will someday die like the gardener who nurtured them.

They will shrivel like that body that filled with salt and waves.

The body that lays alone, at the bottom.

At the bottom of the Hermiterranean Sea may I lay,

Where one day perhaps I'll wash upon the shores that I nurtured.

The creator upon the Strait of Joebraltar.

For someone can crumple, when pillars turn to thorns.

I had not the strength to run with these shattered legs.

So.

Instead I fall..."

And finally, his arms gained the strength to push from the cliffs. To let his body fall into the Hermiterranean Sea.
