Summary: Morpheus's story with his wife, the goddess of wishes.

The night that Morpheus had met his wife had been one like no other. Perhaps it was just his memory, but he couldn't ever think of something more magical.

He had been visiting the waking in the middle of a meteor shower, its light illuminating the sky. But the land seemed to be illuminated by her, standing about the humans that were observing the astrological phenomenon.

(Y/N) wasn't really glowing, but he could see the power emanating from her. As the goddess of wishes, she was speaking to the humans. Listening to them to learn what they wanted the most.

If it was in her powers, she would grant their wishes. And the kindness and warm coming from her made Morpheus desire to speak with (Y/N).

He nearly immediately fell in love with her as they spoke. It was like they were soulmates, a perfect match from the first conversation.

The marriage didn't happen too quickly, the two of them very cautious about romances. But once in did finally happen, everyone the two of them knew were thrilled. They were very happy, until Roderick Burgess ruined over a century of their marriage.

(Y/N) didn't even know it was Burgess at first, instead sinking into heartbreak as her husband was missing. The wishes dried up as she lost hope in wishing things into existence. She didn't have the ability to grant her own wishes, but it didn't stop her from wishing on every star that her husband would return safely.

When she did find out what happened to him, it was by accident. (Y/N) had finally begun to start granting wishes and was visiting the home of a Magus. Unfortunately, however, his wish was for his son to be brought back.

"I'm afraid my powers do not extend to bringing humans back to life, Magus." She told him gently, but cautiously. Something about the man made her uncomfortable. She was disguised as a witch, not trusting him enough to reveal her true nature.

He wasn't completely stable. "There's nothing you can do?" His tone was harsher than she preferred from a human.

"Unfortunately not." Shaking her head, she turned to leave. "You must find yourself someone more powerful that me."

"I do, I have an Endless. Not even he could help me!"

She froze, breath caught in her throat. "A what?" She could scarcely believe it. "An Endless."

"The Dream Lord. But he's useless." The man growled, completely ignorant to her demeanor.

(Y/N) considered using the small amount of power she had to find Morpheus wherever he was in the house. Still standing still, she imagined finding and rescuing him.

But she had heard what happened to Jessamy, and knew she wasn't powerful enough to take out all the guards that Burgess was sure to have in his home. He would capture her to, and (Y/N) knew that Morpheus wouldn't want that.

"Well, I'm very sorry about that." Her voice was tense, trying to stay calm. "I wish I could have helped."

Leaving the evil house, she returned to the Dreaming. (Y/N) may not have been able to save Moprheus, but she could help keep his realm alive while he was gone.

(Y/N) could sense her husbands return as soon as it happened. The pained ache in her chest disappearing, drawing her towards the desert outside of the dreaming. She called to Lucienne, sharing the amazing news.

"Lucienne?" Morpheus spoke for the first time back in the Dreaming, noticing her first.

Then his gaze turned to his wife, and the relief she felt made her sob. "(Y/N)?" A matching relief was in his voice, finally reunited again.

For the first time, all her wishing had come true.
