Summary: Morpheus returns to the Dreaming after a century imprisoned to learn that his fae wife has had a son.

When Morpheus returned to Dreaming, after observing the destruction that had come from his disappearance, he could only think about returning to his wife.

He told Lucienne he would return in a moment, leaving to find his partner.

While she usually lived with him in his palace, she had her own place in a corner of the Dreaming. It was a pretty, glassy little spire. With large garden surrounding it and dream-creatures exploring the landscape. When looking upon it, it was fairly obvious to guess that she was one of the Faeries.

Her little home maintained and protected from the decay of the Dreaming with her own power and immortality.

Morpheus strode across the lawn, pulling open her door and walking inside. There was no need for door locks in this place, completely safe for the Queen Consort of the Dreaming. He called her, waiting almost nervously for her to see him.

When she turned the corner and saw who it was, she dropped the flowers she was holding. "Morpheus!" She exclaimed while bounding into his arms, pulling him into a deep kiss.

"I've missed you." He whispered against her lips. "I'm so sorry I left, my love."

"You're back now, that's all I care about."

He opened his mouth to reply. But before he could say anything, someone else entered the room.

"Mum! Mum!" A small boy ran up to them. "Guess what I- who's he?" The child looked up at Morpheus, who was standing in shock.

He looked at his wife, who now looked nervously at him. "You had a child?" He asked, trying to figure out the timeline of his birth. Faeries have a much longer conception and aging process than humans, and at the age the boy is now...

"We." She corrected him. "We had a child."

Morpheus tried to figure out what he was feeling, looking at the young child who appeared like he suddenly realised who the man was.

"Dad?" The boy asked hesitantly. The three of them stood there cautiously, waiting to see what the others would do.

Morpheus made the first move, slipping his hand into hers and stepping up to the boy. He kneeled in front of the small child, giving him a soft smile. "Yes. And I'm glad to finally meet you."

Their son quickly hugged him, much to Morpheus' surprise. He slowly wrapped an arm around him and when their child finally let go, Morpheus stood up to look at her.

"My palace is still damaged." He told her. "But when it's been repaired, I want you both to return home with me. I don't want to have to live without you again. Either of you."

She just nodded. "We'll start getting packed." Morpheus leaned down to kiss her again, basking in the presence of his family.

He still had to meet with the Fates, to go see Gregory. But being back with she confirmed to him that things would be better now that he is back.

Better now that he had his queen by his side again.
