Eric wished he had a camera to take a picture of Giselle's face, it no longer made any sense to call her rouge any longer since he had to choice in marrying her and vice versa. She looked as if she would rather do anything other than marrying him and join his pack. He also knew that marrying him was the lesser of two evils. No one wants die.
"What the hell!" she shouted at his father.
"It's simple really, you can either die at the hands of my pack or you can join the pack and marry my son," His father smirked. He knew exactly what choice she was going to make. "I'll give you three seconds to decide."
"Why would I marry that asshole."
"One"
"He is so full of himself."
"Two"
"So why would I marry him."
"I guess you choose death, thr.."
"Fine I'll marry him."
Eric could see the smirk on his father's face widen as Giselle gave her answer. She then turned her head in his direction and glared harshly in his direction as if he was the one that forced them to get engaged. "If you are wondering if I had anything to do with his choice you are wrong, he sent me to kill you but decided against it when I told him you were female and that you could hold your own in a fight against an Alpha."
"I really hate you."
"Well darling," he drawled, "you're gonna have to learn to live with it seeing how were going to be marry and all."
"I don't have to like you to marry you."
"You are aware of the fact we are going to have to produce an heir right?"
"Yeah so?"
"And that it requires us to have sex right?"
The look of shock that crossed her face was too funny and Eric couldn't hold his laughter in. He doubted she was a virgin but the fact that she would actually have to sleep with him had never crossed her mind.
"Damn it!" she raged.
A voiced ranged out from somewhere in the pack, "This is an outrage! How could some dirty rouge get married to our next Head Alpha it is unfair to the women who were actually born in the our pack, we deserve him."
Eric was getting ready to speak but his father beat him to it, "Come out and speak don't hide behind your pack mates."
The person who spoke came out, unsurprising to Eric, it was Camilla and she was wearing her signature color pink. "I am the most powerful female here I should marry him he was promised to me."
"I am Head Alpha here and my word is Law."
"Fine then I challege her for the right to mate with him."
"Your challege is denied it is my will that they marry and one of the rules of the challege is that a female could only be challenged if she picked her mate of her own accord."
"But it isn't fair! I am the most powerful female here."
"On that you are wrong as well, you are the daughter of the fifth most powerful Alpha here, who also happens to also be the last, and this woman, Giselle I believe my son called her, is the daughter of an Alpha."
"So."
"She is also able to fight my son on almost equal grounds, you are unable to even last five minutes with him."
"But.."
"If you say one more word I would see it as a direct challenge to my authority."
Camilla may have been power hungry but she was wise enough to shut up.
Eric bented over to whisper in his father's ear, "As badly as I find this entertaining we must address the pack on the matter of Damein, they need to know soon."
"Alright son, go stand by your future wife."
Eric went and watched as his father addressed everyone.
"With the exception of the news involving my son, A matter of grave importance has come to my attention and it involves the entire pack."
The crowd got silent as they listen to their Head Alpha speak. Eric also listen even though he knew what the news was going to be.
"One of our pack mates has spotted Damein as he crossed our border."
"What!"
"Are you serious?"
"What about our children? He's going to hurt them."
Eric winced as the cries of his people ranged up around him. He knew that even though the scars Damein left on them happen years ago it was still fresh in their minds. Werewolves had crystal clear memories so they neither forgave nor did they forget.
"From now on I want everyone on high alert and those who are unable to fight will attend to the children. Everyone will resume their normal lives and act as if nothing I said affected you. If Damein shows up at your place of business or if your children spot them at school I want to be alerted instantly through the pack's mind link."
"Alright pack master," everyone said at once.
"Good now go back home and rest we need everyone at full strength."
Everyone left and Eric started too before he remember Giselle was tied up next to him. He took the key out of his pocket and let her free. "Come," he said, "I have to show you to your new home."
"Let me guess the pack house," she sneered.
"No, mine."
