It was as if everyone at the Mating Ceremony didn't know wether to gasp or keep silent. Eric's pack members knew she was the daughter of an alpha but they assumed her parents had died of disowned her. They never thought her father could be the Alpha of one of the top four packs in the world.
No one knew Alpha Micheal had children, he had never showed them. They thought him or his mate was infertile. The treaty between the four packs started forty years ago, how had his mate manage to hide her pregnancy from the other packs.
"Your daughter!" several members from various packs exclaimed.
"Yes my own flesh and blood, it has been many years since I had seen her," Alpha Micheal stated as her stared at the only person to ever defy him. It had embrass him to find that his own daughter managed to escape him. She had ruined alot of plans he had when she left
Eric turned to Giselle to ask her about why hadn't she told him that her father was the Alpha of the Blood Drinkers pack but the look of hate she had in her eyes directed at her father told him that it wasn't the best decision to do so. Now he could see why she was so withdrawn when he had told her the names of the packs that were coming to the Ceremony.
"That was the purpose of running away, I never wanted to see you again," Giselle spoke back to him.
"Why did you leave? We loved you hunny," cried her mother Amelia.
"Loved! you don't know the meaning of the word love." Giselle shouted back at her.
"Don't yell at your mother," Alpha Micheal shouted at her.
"Alpha Micheal she stopped being my mother the day I ran away just as you have stopped being my father long before then."
"Pack life wasn't bad so why did you leave," her mother wimpered.
"Pack life wasn't bad! Are you kidding me? Since I was a girl I wasn't allowed to anything, none of the women in the pack were. The men saw us as nothing but tools and we were beaten when we fought back. Your Alpha was forcing me to marry an old man at sixteen. I did what was right for me and left."
Eric finally understood why she had prefered to stay a rouge insteading of joining another pack. She was scared of being treated the same way in another pack. "With all due respect Sir but my pack would never harm our women or forced them to marry if they are unwilling. Our women are precious and there are too few of them in the world."
Alpha Micheal turned his head to Eric, "Are you questioning how I run my pack?"
"No I am not I was just stating some facts."
Eric's father decided to speak, "Enough of this, we are supposed to celebrating a new union not pissing each other off. Now for the rest of the evening everyone is going to forget about their problems. We don't want to turn this blessing into a curse."
Everyone agreed and headed to the pack house to enjoy the rest of their night.
