Giselle stared at Josie for a while, but not in shock or disbelief. At this moment, she could not make herself feel anything. She was a very intelligent woman so she knew there was a high probability that Josie was telling her the truth. Of course, it did not really matter seeing as she absolutely hated her father and everything he stood for, or should she be saying their father now.
Josie was close to her age so she wondered if her mother knew. It was more than likely that she did. Nothing got by that old bitch. "What does me being your so called older sister have to do with anything?"
"I already told before, we were raised in the same pack but you were treated so much better than I was. Always compared to you constantly. A sister I knew about but never seen. The perfect child any mother or father would want to have, so beautiful and docile. I used to fantasize about meeting you and talking to you. I was raised to idolize you and I did, until you left. Then I was idolize and you were forgot. But I still wanted to meet you and when I did I realized you were not who I thought you were."
"Sorry to disappoint."
Josie chuckled, "Disappoint! Oh no, I wasn't disappointed, I was relieved and then enraged. Relieved that I got to meet you and then enraged when I found out you were better than the person she described. Trust the whore who raised me to fuck that up as well. The more I got to know you the more I wanted to kill you."
"So why am I still alive now?"
"Because my mother told me to leave you this way."
"And who is this mysterious mother of yours?"
"My mother is-"
"That would be me," another familiar voice called out.
Giselle turned her head in the direction of the voice and this time she actually found herself partly surprised. Of course, she was the woman to whom Josie would call mother. Her heart was just as black as the other's was. "Hello mother," Giselle said uncaringly.
"Hello my darling, didn't you miss your mother while you were away?" Amelia spoke with obvious sarcasm and loathing.
"About as must as I missed father and I don't partially give a shit about him."
"You mind your tongue or I will rip it out."
"That's the mother I loved and hated." Giselle said. Her ears caught Josie's growl so she turned her head just enough to keep both of them in her line of sight. "So my so called mother is your so called mother."
"She was always my mother! You weren't good enough daughter for her so she and father got me." Josie screamed out.
Amelia came over to Josie and hugged her from behind all the while patting her head and saying soothing words like "I love you" and "She's not worth it.' All Josie could was the motherly side but what Josie could not see, Giselle did. She saw the way Amelia's teeth clenched, her eyes flash with irritation and bloodlust, and the way her claws started to grow.
Poor Josie was a pawn for her mother and not even one worth keeping around longer. Yeah, she could see that Amelia was getting real tired of having Josie. She should have figured her mother would keep her father's bastard around for as long as they were useful. It made her wonder about so things. "When father finally acknowledge you what did he do?"
Amelia's eyes flashed with some emotion she couldn't see and began to speak but Josie cut her off saying, "He sent me letter telling me of your betrayal and he need someone like me who was more of his blood then you were to lead the pack in the future."
"So he didn't come personally?"
"Of course not, he was much too busy."
"And what happened when you finally met him?" However, as soon as Giselle asked that question she already got her answer. Josie and Amelia's body language told her that. "Oh my Goddess, you've never met him before have you."
"It's not time yet. I still have to finish up here before I meet him then he will give his position to me."
"How do you contact him if you've never physically met?"
"Through mother and the letters he send me."
"And how do you get these letters?"
"Either mother brings them or he sends them out under another name."
Giselle stared at Josie for a while and could not help but wonder why Josie could not see through Amelia's manipulations. There was no way she had not met their father at least once. Anyone on any type of mission or of any rank meets him. Giselle knew that while her father was an evil, sexist bastard he honestly have nothing to do with what's going on now.
"It's all on you isn't it? Everything that's happen since I joined this pack was because of you, Amelia." Giselle said addressing the woman who gave birth to her.
"Mother did nothing, I did everything."
"No, you're just a pawn for her game; father isn't even involved in this one."
"Of course he is, he's the one who asked me to do all of this, and mother just came to help."
"No. Amelia came to watch all her plans finally fall into place."
"Mother wouldn't-" An intense look of pain came across Josie's face as Amelia's claws came through her chest.
"You were always so smart, even as a child. Did you know I hated you from the moment you were born? Michael and I always wanted a son, and then we got you. From the moment you were announced to be a girl, Michael started sleeping with other women in hopes of getting them pregnant and getting a son. I spent months listening to them brag about sleeping with MY MATE and him possibly getting them pregnant. Until one day I couldn't handle it anymore." Amelia raged as she slowly retracted her claws from Josie.
Josie's loud scream of pain ranged through the air and so did her pleas for help. No one moved to help her, not even Giselle, but that was because Giselle planned to kill her anyway.
"So you snapped and came up with a plan to kill me, your only child who had nothing to do with this." Giselle stated.
"No, I snapped and killed all the whores Michael slept with and their fucking kids." Amelia looked down at Josie before kicking her in her wound, "But somehow I missed one. Therefore, when I found out about Josie I figured killing her would be a waste since I could use her. Killing you however only came about when it dawned on me that you being around all the time remained your father of what he did not have."
"You could have had another kid."
"Michael wouldn't lay with me afterwards. He was frighten that I would produce another disappoint."
"That sounds like a personal problem."
"A problem that would soon be solved. I was so happy when I saw you at the mating ceremony. Happy enough to kill." Amelia said as she attacked Giselle with her claws and a bang ranged out around the room.
