The rest of Giselle's week was not going well as well. Aside from the attempt on Eric's life there had been attempts on his father and Josie's as well. Giselle could understand why they wanted to kill Eric and his father, but why Josie? She wasn't that high up in the pack, not an omega but not exactly an alpha as well. It made no sense.

Damein had no reason to try and kill Josie, she wasn't even in the pack when everything between him and Eric went down. Granted, Giselle wasn't apart of the pack during this time as well but she was Eric's mate and rouges with a grudge would kill a man's mate before they kill the man himself. This led Giselle to believe that something was wrong with everything that had been going on lately. She felt as if she was missing an important piece of the puzzle.

To add insult to injury, she was steadily getting weaker and hungrier even if she ate until she could eat no more, if that was remotely possible. Both Eric and the pack doctor passed it off as stress and order her to rest more as they handled what was going on. They also assured her that they had some of the lower alpha males, ones who have power but are somehow unable to lead, guarding her.

Everyone was in fear of Damein since sightings of him around the city had drastically increased. Everywhere he went trouble followed and someone died. There was also several other pack members that say they saw him kill some of the men that had been trying to kill us. Why? Is it because he wants to kill us himself? Because they failed? Why send someone to kill us but turn and kill them? It was more smarter to leave the men alive and have a bigger group trying to kill us rather than a small one.

Some rouges have the advantage of moving around alone because they're swift and smart enough to get the kill and leave before anyone could track them down. However, Eric's pack is massive and too strong for one person, even Damein. Not to mention there was rarely a moment where someone was alone.

The nagging thought in the back of her mind that something was definitely off kept coming back to her. It was like there was two different situations going on. Then it hit her, it was because there was two different situations going on here. The men sent to kill her wasn't Damein's men at all, it was someone else's. That's why he was killing all the men, because they are not his men.

His first goal is to take down Eric and his father first, why settle for anything less. From the fire to Camilla's death, none of it was Damein's doing. None of it was targeted at anyone else but her. Maybe that was why Camilla died. Her death, although gruesome, wasn't meant to happen to affect Giselle life, the killer killed her and decided, what the hell, why not put this as part of my plans.

The only reason the killer had to kill Camilla was because she had gotten to close and found something she shouldn't have. Giselle's face grew grim with a cold realization. Even if she had not known Camilla for long, she knew that Camilla wasn't the type of person to invade just anyone's life. No, it had to be someone she knew. Someone from the pack.

I have to tell Eric that he's chasing multiple people or else Damein is going to catch him off guard and that... the sound of shattering glass drew her from her thoughts. Giselle prepared to go check it out when a voice at the door stopped her. "Don't worry Luna we are going to check it out. " For the moment she had forgotten that her marriage to Eric made her Luna and him Head Alpha. Eric's father had not formally announced it yet with everything going on but everyone knew of Eric's change in status.

She started relax until a few loud crashing sounds and not so quiet curses made itself known. That's it!, She thought, I am going to check and see what the hell is going on down there. Racing to the door she yanked it open. Storming down the stairs and quickly reaching the end, she look amazed at the chaos across from her.

A bird. A freaking bird flew through the window and was now flying around breaking things as a group of grown werewolves tried desperately to catch it. One of the guys had suggested throwing a shoe at it to knock it down, she silence that suggestion with a glare. She found it amusing that they tried many different things to get the bird out until the point where it just got sad. One by one she opened up the windows and doors until eventually the bird flew out. "Honestly guys, I know the bird can fly and the ceiling is high but none of you thought to open up the areas where it could get out."

A few of them smiled sheepishly. The guy who had been trying to knock the bird down with a shoe approached her. He was amazingly short, like 5'0 or something, she herself was 5'7. Most of the werewolf men she met was taller than her or at least eye level with her. It felt weird to have to look down and speak to him. It reminder her of how it was when she was living with her father. How he used to lean over her demeaning and smugly. "Sorry Luna I guess we got a bit carried away and forgot to think. It won't happen again."

She assessed him slowly, not out of lust but because it was in their nature and she was pretty sure he was doing the same to her, to her he was the boys next door kind of cute. Shaggy blond hair that ended the nape of his neck but the bangs touched his eyebrows. Any longer and his hair would cover his grey eyes. He was lanky but had muscle mass, you could see that through his shirt and jeans. Besides what kind of werewolf wouldn't have any muscles at all. The dead ones that who.

Giselle sighed, "It was actually funny to watch for awhile, and may I ask who are you?"

"I'm Josh, the super time fun-loving guy! I also happen to be the future, well technically current, Beta of the World renowned Silver Moon Pack," Josh said with more excitement than necessary as he did a superhero pose.

"Alright..Does he always answer things like this?"

"Yea, you'll get used to it." the entire room responded together.

Giselle turned back to Josh and asked, "If you are the future or current Beta, Why haven't I met you before and why wasn't you at the ceremony."

He rubbed the back of his neck, "You see, I went to visit my older sister who lives in another pack due to her mate living there already and well...after the visit, as I was waiting nice and comfy in the airport lobby for my plane to board, I spotted this one particularly beautiful cloud and I just had to watch it. Before I knew it I missed my plane."

"Ok.."

His face turned serious, "But you know what the worse part was..."

"Not really but you're going to tell me anyway. "

"The worse part was that when I turned back to the sky my precious cloud was gone," he fake cried.

Giselle smiled, she didn't want to but the story was too silly not to deserve a smile. Josh's smile beamed at her. "Well that was a certainly interesting story Josh, I'm sure that one day you and your precious cloud will be reunited. "

Everyone laughed.

"Lu-" Josh started to say.

"You guys can call me Giselle you know."

"Lu-"

"Giselle."

"Fine then, Giselle as much as I am sure it would be fun with you down here your mate commanded us to make sure you are well rested and stress free so please return to your roon while we clean up the mess we made.

She was preparing to argue but the determination in their eyes stopped her. They were going to follow their Head Alpha's order and ensure that their Luna be healthy. "I'm going, I'm going. But if you need any help don't hesitate to let me know."

"We will."

Giselle headed back to her room, the moment she sat on the bed all her energy left her and suddenly she was back to being tired. I guess I can rest for a bit was her last thought before she drifted off.
