After a short ride home everyone was soon tucked in their separate bedrooms and the girls went straight to Josie's bed, not even changing out of their clothes or make up. Up until this point they had both consumed enough alcohol to find themselves intoxicated and drowsy, so they both agreed to sleep it off. In the morning, Hope was the first one to wake up and got straight out of bed, already collecting her coat and belongings so she could leave but the brunette could feel the coldness where her warm presence used to lie soon enough stirring her awake. She slowly opened her eyes, realising Hope was heading for the door but her weak voice stopped her.
"Hope? Not even gonna say good morning?"
"I didn't want to wake you up, baby.."
"May I ask where are you going in such a rush?"
"I just have a few things to take care of today."
"You do remember we are hanging out with Landon?"
"I'll make it in time, don't worry."
"O–Okay. At least come give me a kiss, you make this feel like I'm one of your one night stands or something."
Hope laughed, but was rather disturbed by Josie's comment.
"Come on, it's not that bad."
The Mikaelson headed towards the bed where the grumpy brunette was laying with her arms out as if she was requesting a hug, and fell straight into her arms.
"I'm not saying I wouldn't want a one night stand with you though.."
"Just one?"
"More like billions."
Hope pecked Josie's lips who was now smiling like an idiot, and pulling her even tighter into her arms.
"I love you, Josette."
"That's much better. And I love you too."
"I'll see you tonight."
"Take care of yourself, and don't do anything crazy."

Hope had arranged to be picked up by Nick who had already prepared the resources for the execution of their plan. This wasn't simply a case of revenge and earning dignity back, but it was Hope's chance to stop whatever false confidence Maya had in her about making the Mikaelson hers, and protect her relationship with Josie against all odds.
