For the following days everyone focused back on school, as making an impression both academically and socially was the first task in the twin's agenda every coming year. They didn't want to disappoint their dad plus they were pretty popular in their school already which meant none of them went unnoticed in the corridors.
Josie used every ounce in her not to text the Mikaelson girl, as she didn't want to overcomplicate things between them. Especially, now that her and Jade were off to a good start. Eventually, Saturday was here and the twins got ready for that barbeque they were invited to, which their father drove them to as he had arranged to have a walk around the city with his hidden relationship. Which the girls knew nothing of.
At Nick's house, a small group of boys were gathered at the backyard grilling some meat and drinking beers. Some of them were even getting stoned at the very back.
Hope walked amongst them with her arrogant little look, like she was better than everyone else, seeing she was the only girl, until someone called out her name.
"Hope! My little Hope. My biggest competitor. It's been a minute."
"Ethaann!" Hope's voice sweetened.
"There's our little loser."
"Keep rubbing it in my face how I lost the games this year and I'm gonna kick your ass."
"Well, guys me and Hope usually come face to face at the Legacies games in the summer, I'm sorry this time your team let you down sweetheart."
"It wasn't my team. It was your handsome face distracting me."
"Ooohh.." some of the boys whispered between them. It wasn't a secret that most of them fancied Nick's cousin.

"Can you two leave the flirting for later and help me with the grill?" Nick shouted.
Both Hope and Ethan walked towards him and the girl picked up a sharp knife to cut the meat into smaller portions, while Ethan was marinating the rest of it.
"Ouch..shit...guys??"
"What's wrong??" Nick turned to Hope and saw enough blood dripping down her palm but he couldn't leave the grill unattended.
"Shit. First aid kit at 4th drawer under the sink. Ethan take her, now."
"Come on, I got you."
Ethan led Hope into the kitchen where he rushed around in slight panic trying to open every drawer to find the kit.
"Jesus, it's the last one right there." Hope chuckled.
