The brunette hesitated to give an answer, although she was certain that she didn't want to dance with Penelope, Hope wasn't paying much attention to her and she thought it might actually be a cheeky idea and would help draw some of the Mikaelson's attention on her. Eventually, Josie agreed and was taken to the dance floor by Penelope, who seemed all too proud to be dancing with her ex again. In a way it was her chance to show off.

"So do you fancy this Mikaelson girl?"

Penelope asked while taking a hold of Josie's hands and swaying her to the music.

"What if I am?"

"I need to know if my replacement is good enough."

"Replacement? Funny. You've got nothing on Hope, sorry."

"Oh, sweetie. I know we didn't have the best past but I only want the best for you."

"Seriously? Are you gonna play this game with me? We both know your intentions Penelope. You don't care about me, you just want the validation."

"I see nothing wrong with a little validation."

"That only means you lack confidence, sorry to break it to you."

"I am confident, Josette. Confident enough to know I can have you again if I want to."

"In your dreams, Park."

Josie was feeling too agetated to keep on dancing with the girl so she suddenly walked off, not really bothering to look back at Penelope's reaction and just gazed at the floor trying not to step on anyone while walking amongst them. At some point though, she bumped into someone, crashing into their body fully and immediately looked up with an apologetic look. Before she had a chance to speak up the other girl blurted out:

"Watch it!"

"Hope..it's you.."

"Josie.."

"I'm sorry for bumping into you."

"It's fine."

"Were you heading to dance or something?"

"Hm. Dancing is not really my thing. It looks like it's yours though."

"Uhh, yeah I guess."

"You were quite enjoying dancing with that Park girl or whatever."

"Actually, I wasn't enjoying it. It was quite the torture."

"Figured. Wanna get out of here?"

"Sure, take me wherever you want."

"You know my imagination runs wild when you say things like that. Or it's the alcohol, I'm not quite sure."

Hope grabbed Josie's hand tightly, and led her through the crowd. The brunette smiled at the little comment Hope had just made and reached up to her ear, to make her voice audible.

"I pretty much enjoy doing that to you."

"I enjoy anything you do to me."

Hope added a playful tone in her voice and Josie was satisfied with every bit of attention she was receiving now. Hope stopped when they reached an empty couch and she took a seat, but Josie hovered over her for minute as if she was thinking of doing something out of the ordinary.

"What?"

"You said dancing is not your thing, but it is mine. So maybe we can find a common ground."
