The next morning the Mikaelson slowly stirred awake by the sunlight coming through the windows inside Josie's room. Her arms naturally reached out to bring the other girl in her arms but were sadly met with cold sheets instead. Hope opened her eyes and faced an empty space next to her, which made her wonder where the brunette had gone. She turned to her side, with a little sigh, but her eyes soon met a rose on her nightstand with a little note reading:
"Good morning beautiful. I'm downstairs making breakfast."
Hope immediately melted into a sweet smile and held the note close to her chest. After taking some time to freshen up and make herself more presentable she went downstairs, and stood against the doorframe of the kitchen watching the brunette hum to herself and dance while preparing a mixture for some pancakes.
"I could easily get used to this.."
"Oh, Hope..you're awake. How long have you been watching me?"
"Enough for you to make my day."

"Well, why don't you get in here? I could use some help."
"Sure thing, sweetheart."
Hope walked towards the kitchen and scooted right next to Josie, their hips bumping each other as they both tried to mix the liquid in the bowl. At some point Hope dipped her finger in the mixture and tapped Josie's nose who literally screamed in suprise but later broke into uncontrollable laughter.
"Hope!!"
"What? You still look beautiful, if you ask me. Just a little messier."
"Thanks but I'd rather eat it, than play around with it."
"Okay, grumpy pants. What do you need done next?"
"I need you to heat a pan for the pancakes and then probably make some coffee for all of us."
"Okay boss. How do you like yours?"
"With some milk and hazelnut syrup. And don't judge my choices, I know you want to–"
Hope chuckled.
"I haven't said anything, I'm innocent."
"Oh, you are far from innocent.."
Josie moved across the kitchen and stood behind the unaware girl, she slid her arms around her waist and nuzzled her face into the crook of Hope's neck.
"Oh, hi gorgeous.."
"Hey.."
"You seem like you're in a good mood today."
"It's because I like having you around." Josie left a soft kiss on Hope's neck and the Mikaelson definitely enjoyed it.
"Remember when you barely spoke to me when I first visited your house? Talk about giving me a hard time."
