One month after the rigorous entrance examination, the 92nd Tōtsuki Generation stood in anticipation as Senzaemon Nakiri, the esteemed director of Tōtsuki Culinary Academy, addressed the crowd. His words carried weight and stirred a mix of emotions within the students.

Senzaemon's entrance speech resonated with a sense of ambition and intensity. He declared that the majority of the students would serve as "sacrificial stepping stones," dedicating themselves to the relentless pursuit of culinary excellence, while only a select few would emerge as the shining "gems" of the academy.

With a powerful voice, Senzaemon motivated the students to embrace the challenges ahead, to strive for greatness, and to give their utmost in their studies. His words hung in the air, igniting a spark of determination in the hearts of the aspiring chefs.

As the ceremony continued, Soma Yukihira, always one to make an entrance, took the stage. His speech carried a different tone, filled with confidence and ambition. He declared his intention to stand at the top of Tōtsuki at the end of their high school journey, using every person as a stepping stone to achieve his goal.

To Soma's surprise, his bold statement did not sit well with the audience. Angry boos erupted throughout the auditorium, echoing their disapproval of his seemingly arrogant proclamation. Undeterred, Soma walked off the stage with a carefree smile, his unwavering determination hidden beneath his nonchalant demeanor.

Catalina, observing the scene unfold, couldn't help but find amusement in the audience's reaction. She understood Soma's playful nature and knew that his words were not meant to be taken too seriously. With a sly smirk on her face, she reveled in the tension that had momentarily gripped the crowd.

Then it was Catalina's turn. She took a deep breath, her eyes sparkling with determination. With a confident stride, she approached the microphone, ready to make her mark.

"¡Hola a todos! Greetings, everyone!" Catalina began, her voice carrying a vibrant energy that captivated the room. "I'm Catalina Rodriguez, a spirited chef from the United States, with a passion for fusing Latin flavors with culinary traditions from around the world. I'm here to bring a spicy twist to Totsuki Culinary Academy!"

The response to Catalina's introduction, however, was lukewarm. The crowd, accustomed to the familiar faces and traditional culinary approaches, didn't pay much attention to the foreign newcomer. She was seen as just another foreigner, with her presence not commanding the same level of intrigue or skepticism as Soma's.

As Catalina stepped off the stage, she noticed Erina Nakiri, accompanied by her loyal associate, Hisako. Erina looked at her with a dismissive gaze, seemingly unimpressed by the spirited chef's introduction.

Erina approached Catalina and Soma with an air of superiority, her voice laced with condescension. "I don't know how the likes of you managed to get accepted into this prestigious academy, but I assure you, you won't last long here."

Catalina met Erina's haughty demeanor with a raised eyebrow. 

Soma, always the peacemaker, chimed in with a mischievous grin. "Hey, Erina, we thought we didn't get in when you said our food was disgusting. If something is delicious you should just own up and say it." 

Erina's frustration grew as she turned on her heels, accompanied by a fuming Hisako, and walked away, her mind filled with doubts about the newcomers.

As the transfer ceremony concluded, Catalina and Soma found themselves surrounded by curious but somewhat indifferent gazes. The students observed them from a distance, not quite sure what to make of the foreign chef and her idiotic counterpart.

Akira, Ryo, Alice, Isami, Takumi, and Megumi exchanged glances, their curiosity piqued but their reservations intact. They were unsure if Catalina and Soma would be able to prove themselves.

Little did they know, Catalina and Soma were about to embark on a culinary journey that would challenge their skills, forge unbreakable bonds, and test the limits of their passion. The path ahead was filled with obstacles and surprises, but they were determined to leave their mark and prove their worth in the esteemed halls of Tōtsuki Culinary Academy.
