Sendoh's POV
"Ah, Chiyoko." I fumbled.
"Hi, Sendoh-kun!" She said for the third time, dragging her tone teasingly.
"It's interesting seeing you here." I said, blinking back the urge to make my brows meet out of displeasure.
"I just happened to pass by."
Happened to pass by yet she's looking so prepared....
Chiyoko kept trying to lock her eyes with me with every word she said but I averted my gaze everytime.
"Aw, that's cute, Sendoh-kun!" She giggled. "You can't even look at me straight in the eye!" After saying those word she gave my arm a playful smack.
Too playful, and she's being too close.
After Chiyoko's giggles faded out, we just stood there in silence because I didn't want to stir a conversation. Chiyoko started to hug herself because of the cold, waiting for me to speak.
Out of pure kindness, I began to unravel my scarf.
"Se-Sendoh-kun, Wh-what are you doing?!" Chiyoko exclaimed, stammering.
"Just use this for a while, I can't stand seing you freeze while I stay warm and comfy."
Chiyoko waited for me, and after I handed her my scarf, I ran a hand over my hair, which started to go limp.
"Thanks, Sendoh-kun."
I nodded.
"Can you hold this for me, please?" Chiyoko made me hold her phone, notebook, and the push pen.
She wrapped the scarf around her neck. After that, she said something in quite an excited voice that took me aback.
"You smell so good!"
Maybe she caught a whiff of my body spray.
"Wa-wait, wait!" She waved her hands in front of her as some sort of way to retract what she said a while ago, "The scarf I mean!! It smells good!!"
"Thanks."
"Soo...."
"You can keep that for the rest of the day. Just return it to me once it's washed." I handed her things over and she started cradling them again.
So, out of curiosity, which I may already know the answer to, I asked her what the objects were for. And, with the answer that she gave me, my hunch was really true:
It's an interview for the school paper.
Chiyoko explained everything to me in immense detail, and she said that even though she's the Editor-in-Chief, she's also tasked to share the responsibility of interviewing people. So, without hesitation, (and also to get it over with) I gave in and started to answer her questions.
