"What?" I said, completely bewildered. "Hi-Hide you? Why?" I looked at Sendoh with a srunched face-- he was already pale and covered in dripping sweat. I placed the book he bought inside the shoulder bag I brought with me.He looked like someone who did some grave crime, or some jailbreaker on loose who's afraid to go back to prison with cops after him. He started to crouch, looking for refuge between the shelves. I was staring dubiously when he started to crawl, even looking for a safer corner to conceal himself.
"What the heck are you doing?" I asked, my hands on my hips.
"Hiding, duh." He whispered.
"But why? For crying out loud, you look like a colossal hotdog in fetal position right now."
He looked at me and his phone dinged again.
"Didn't I tell you to put that on silent mode?"
Then he stood, fixing the creased parts of his clothes."Why are you so scared? Are you being hunted?"
"Yeah, pretty much like that. But they're scarier than the police."
Oh God. What did he just do?
Just then, we heard the door bust open, and several heavy footsteps closed in. I turned to see who they were; it was a group of 5 people, and the real funny thing was they were all wearing jackets the same as Sendoh's.
"Hey Se-" I said over my shoulder, cursing under my breath when he was nowhere to be seen.
I looked at the group again, who were busy searching every area of the store-- even asking some of the people inside, describing the guy they were looking for. There was a really tall guy, I bet he was even taller than me or Sendoh. The tall guy, which I assume was the leader of the search, looks like a walking gorilla, and it's really hilarious so I bit my tongue to stop myself from laughing on my own like a lunatic. Speaking of Sendoh, where the heck is he?
They're looking for him, am I right?
I'm really surprised that they haven't found him yet--and slowly, a pair of guys were walking towards me.
I'm right.
"Excuse me, miss." The first guy spoke, looking at me in the eye. Then there's this other guy who's smaller than me. He started to talk, looking a little bit up to meet my eye.
"Have you seen a guy about this.... tall?" He started describing the height of the person he was looking for as he stood on his tippy-toes.
"Goodness, you look like a peewee dwarf!" I said with a giggle.
"Pardon me?!" The guy exclaimed.
"Oh, I'm sorry." I said, clearing my throat. "It's just that you're so little and it's unusual for guys to look up on me like that when they're talking, so....." I told him as his eyes slowly turned to fire. Clearing my throat again, I said: "You were saying?"
