Ayane's POV

"That's a beautiful ring, dear. Where did it come from?"
I bolted from what my parents said, making me look up. It's been a while since the three of us ate together.

"I..uh.. yes, Akira gave it to me on Christmas Eve."

"Akira?" Dad asked before putting the piece of steak into his mouth.

"Sendoh."

"Ohh...." they both said, amused.

We didn't talk for a few minutes until dad placed his utensils down.

"Are the two of you dating?"

"AH!"

I choked on my water, coughing for several times first before having the opportunity to answer the question,

"Ayane, dear, breathe first....." mom patted my back gently,

"I--- I'm fine, mom. Thanks."

"Well? Are the two of you dating?"

"Y-yes."

No hysteric reactions.

"Wait....you guys are fine with it?"

"If you're happy with it then we are too."

"The first time I saw that boy I thought he'll make a move on you. I was right." Mom smiled.

"Oh."

"He's your first boyfriend, I hope he is your last too."

"If that happens, you two are destined for each other."

"That's like some fairy tale fantasy, dad."

"Invite him to dinner tomorrow!" Mom cheerfully said.

I bet she's already planning different dishes to cook.

"Okay, I'll tell him....but right now he's busy in practicing for the regional games."

"When will his game be?"

"I'm still not sure. Probably a couple months from now."

"Tell Sendoh we'd love him to come over for dinner tomorrow. We'll look forward to it."

"I'll prepare a special dinner."

"Okay, okay, I'll tell him."

"But hey, in case he makes you cry or he does something wrong, tell me....." Dad then picks up the steak knife with a twinkle in his eyes, "....I'll come after him!"

"Dad, that's not necessary!!"

Sendoh's POV

"Thank God! We're finally done!"

Koshino collapses to the ground, spreading his arms and legs widely on the floor as he breathed hard.

"We still need to mop the floor, get up, Koshino." Uozumi stood beside him, poking at Koshino with his foot.

"huuugghhhh" Koshino whined, rolling back and forth.

"HI, SARASHIMA-CHAN!" Ikegami suddenly shouted but Yoko wasn't even here, so after hearing that Koshino stood up and snapped his head but he fumed when he realized that Ikegami was messing with him.

"Mou, Ikegami-san!! I'll get you for this!! Sarashima-chan isn't even in here!"

"Koshino and Yoko, sittin' in a tree....." Ikegami sang with my teammates joining in,
