"Yo."
A familiar voice called out, which I heard only once, brought me back to reality from the adventures I had in the book I was currently reading. His shadow was looming over me, creating a dark void from which the pages and letters on the book that was resting on my hands turn pitch black.
"Excuse me, but you're in the way of the light." I closed the book momentarily, using one of my fingers to mark its pages.
"Ah, Sorry."
He turned to his side, finally letting rays of light shower upon me. He was really tall, like a gigantic freak. Well, who am I to say such words. I too, am a freakishly huge giant myself.
"You're here again." I said, crossing my arms.
"Well I told you that I'll be here everyday, right?" He replied proudly, his chin slanted upwards.
"You never told me any of that."
"Well, nevermind that." He gave out a nervous laugh after clearing his throat.
"What are those?....." I pertained to the four overstuffed, bulging plastic bags that created a vexing sound once rustled together. "Did you do your grocery or something?"
"Oh, this?" He lifted them up, showing it to my face. "These are just....gifts...."
