"ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY? IT'S 1:30 A.M.! WHAT THE FUCKING HELL DO YOU WANT?" I shouted as loudly as I can, not minding if I'll wake my neighbors up.
He threw the pebbles away and wiped his hands on his shirt, probably dusting some sand that sticked to his hands away. "I WANT TO TALK!" Sendoh cupped his hands around his mouth as he shouted his reply.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. "WAIT THERE!" I shouted again before closing the window and went downstairs.
I didn't even bother how I looked like- I just wanted to get this done. What can he possibly want from me at this time?
Opening the gate I saw him patiently waiting, hands deep in his pockets, and he looked really good in denim pants and a plain black shirt. My breath hitched upon seeing him.
"Wow. Hot pants." He whistled as he stared at the length of my shorts. "I never expected you'd wear something like that."
"What do you want, Sendoh?"
Damn, I forgot I was wearing one tonight. And to add to that, I was wearing a really baggy shirt.
"You showered me with curses back there.....Tell your parents I'm sorry" He told me.
"For what?" I said, ruffling my own hair.
"For throwing pebbles at your windows of course! I'm quite surprised that I didn't wake them up."
Pinching the bridge of my nose as I looked down, I said:
"They're not here."His brow arched, and I added,
"They're out for a couple of days."
"That's a relief. But when I passed by hours ago, all the lights in your house were on."
"I turned them on before I left for the bookstore and how did you even know you were hitting the right window?"
"Well I assumed you were the type of person to still be awake at this hour. What were you doing?" He asked, eyes locked on me.
All the lights were off, except for the one in my room.
"I was reading the book you bought."
"Enjoying it?" He asks again, now with a smirk.
"Yeah, I really do. Now, we've already talked, like you wanted to, so I need to be back to my room now. My bed's calling me." I said as I slowly close the gate.
"W-wait!" he said, stopping me from doing so by putting his hand in the way.
"Alright, make it quick, I'll listen."
I might as well give him a chance, if he's infront of my door at this hour maybe it is so important and he needs my help.
"I can't sleep." He replied with a straight face.
Ok, I take what I said back.
"You bothered me for this?" I replied. "If you can't sleep you can just... You know...." I spluttered, looking away.
"What?"
"You know, jerk off, like most boys do when they can't sleep at night. Then you'll get tired and get some good sleep"
"Hm...."
After a couple of seconds spacing off his eyes enlarged, and he looked away with a tinge of scarlet creeping in his cheeks.
"Oh my God, this is so awkward." I whispered to myself.
Clearing his throat with his sort-of-embarrassment away, he said: "Let's go to the beach."
"What? Why?"
He gave me a shrug as an answer.
"But at this moment there's no train, or taxis and the beach is pretty far from here."
"Then we'll walk there." He suggested.
"Do you want me to die from exhaustion? You can just go there tomorrow by yourself, why do you even want me to--"
"Are you cold?" He asks with a worried face. "We've been talking here for quite a while now, you might catch a cold if you stay outside wearing only that." He looked at me from head to toe, and he was pertaining to the clothes I was wearing.
"Wait here then. I'll go change." I said as I turn my back.
"You won't let me inside?"
"Why would I?"
"You won't even let me see your room?"
"Why should I?!"
I faced him as I exclaim, his laugh appeasing my irritation.
"I'm just kidding. Go on, I'll be fine waiting here."
I didn't want him to wait that much so I changed at lightning speed. With a shirt and also my jeans on, I tied my shoes and zoomed out of the house and faced him, who was smiling the moment I went out of the house.
I always wondered why he could always give a carefree smile all the time, like he doesn't have any problem in the world. I couldn't even do that in a daily basis.
"Are you sleepy?" He asked.
"No, not yet."
"Then it's perfect. You'll get tired and sleepy once we go home after this walk."
I just listened.
Was I the only person available? Perhaps yes, since my house is pretty close to where he lives. No one would even budge given the time but doing this thing might give me tha chance to know him more, so I'll give it a try.
"Sooooo... We're going to the beach then?"
He asks as I lock the gate and put the keys in my pocket.
"Yeah." I nodded.
