"Okay,so... She needs to lay in a pool filled with a water-salt solution with her eyes closed,to be able to use a mental link, tap into the Upside Down and find Will?" Aiden asked as they sat around the pool that contained Eleven who still had her goggles on her head.

"And Barb" Nancy added. Aiden felt a pang at the girl's words, knowing fully well what happened to Barb. To be honest,he saw Barb's death as not only tragic, but also unfair. If he was sent here sooner,he would've prevented her death as much as he could, even without using chakra.

"Yeah, that's pretty much it" Mike nodded.

"And I thought my life was crazy" Aiden shook his head.

"You ever had any weird experiences?" Lucas looked at him.

"Well, considering I got my chakra paths opened, can basically manipulate three elements, walk on walls, water, use the Rasengan and a bunch of other stuff..." Aiden smiled at Lucas. "Yeah,my life has been pretty weird up to this point"

"You can walk on water too?" Dustin asked, eyebrows shooting up.

"Mhm" Aiden nodded, running a caramel hand through his black hair as he gave a small smile.

"How did you get these powers?" Joyce looked at the boy as he gestured to Eleven. "Are you like her?"

"No," Aiden shook his head. "I.. wasn't experimented on. I was gifted these powers"

"Gifted..." Eleven whispered.

"Gifted?" Nancy asked.

"Like, someone just... Gave them to you?" Jonathan asked in disbelief.

"Look,I promised I'd explain once we're done with all this and Will is safe, right?" Aiden asked.

"Yes,but–" Joyce started.

"Mrs Byers, trust me please..." Aiden said. "it's... It's a long, complicated story and we might not have the time right now"

The mother of Will looked at him and saw honesty in his brown eyes.

"I promise I'll tell you all everything you want to know once we're done with this... I just wanna help" Aiden said.

"Okay..." The woman nodded. "I trust you"

"Thank you" Aiden gave a small smile.

"What's your name anyway, kid?" Hopper looked at the new boy.

"Aiden..." The boy looked up at him. He supposed it was safe to reveal his name, it's not like Hopper could trace it to anything relevant in this dimension. "Aiden Harlow"

"I've never heard of you around school" Lucas pointed out.

"Yeah, I'm not exactly a popular kid" Aiden smiled a little.
