"Aiden,You copy?"

"Yo, Dustin. Yeah,I'm here"

"I've got four quarters, what's your haul?"

"I got like twenty bucks left from the money I arrived with"

"Jeez,dude.. you're basically rich. What about Mike?"

"Not sure yet,but I know he'll figure something out"

"You see, Dustin? Even from his home dimension, Aiden got solid cash from saving up,not scrounging around like a homeless bum"

"Lucas? You've been on this channel the whole time?"

"Yep... Just got through mowing old man Humphrey's lawn"

"So I'm guessing your haul is almost as big as mine if not the same"

"Something like that. Anyways, I'm gonna take a shower. Over and out"

"Aight, I'm gonna go check on Mike. Over and out"

Aiden set his walkie talkie on his bedside table before walking towards his closet, pulling out a black denim jacket to wear over his grey t-shirt. Aiden looked over the disorganized bedroom. He wasn't the most organized person but honestly, the familiar mess was homelike; kind of like it was a sign that he had a space in Hawkins to actually call his own and exist.

A year had gone by and he still couldn't believe it was all real.

Everything he'd been through in the past year... The Demogorgon included. It actually still terrified him to think that the upside down was real, meaning it was actually right under Hawkins. Not to mention Will was going to manifest signs of possession soon.

Aiden knew what was coming... And he dreaded it everytime it crossed his mind. But for now, he'd relax let the story play out how it was supposed to.

Dropping to his knees,he took his phone off the bed and pried open one of the floorboards. Once the board was open,Aiden turned his phone on to glance at the time for a few seconds. The boy smiled at his wallpaper; a picture of Mike,Lucas, Will and Dustin all looking confused. It was from the first time he'd revealed to them that his phone had a camera. The battery was at 80% cause luckily for Aiden, Barb and Dustin created an extension cord of sorts for his phone which he'd been using for the past year.

Aiden kept his phone back in the hole, right beside his short sword before closing the floorboard once again.

Aiden then picked up his Walkman and strapped it to his waist, placing the headphones around his neck. His hands travelled to his pockets to make sure he had his quarters before he headed out of his room.

The second he stepped out, however, Mike immediately collided with him as he was trying to escape Nancy.

"The hell,dude?" Aiden grunted.

"Come on or I'm leaving without you!" Mike called, not bothering to look back. Aiden turned to Nancy who was coming right behind Mike.

"Nance, hold on!" Aiden stopped the girl from running any further. He then sighed before reaching into his pockets, counting about 40 quarters and handing them to her.

"Here"

"Aiden no-" Nancy shook her head.

"It's fine," Aiden said. "I still have like ten bucks left"

Nancy looked down at the quarters and smiled. "Thanks"

"You're welcome" Aiden said before taking off himself. "Later!"
