It was dark by the time the group had arrived at lover's lake. The landmark was farther away than Aiden anticipated, causing him to be slightly tired once they'd stopped walking.

Or maybe it was because he was picking up Shikamaru's most well known trait: laziness.

"What a fucking drag" Aiden groaned as they finally stopped. "I really should've just teleported us out here"

"And use up all your chakra in the process" Max reminded him.

"Better than walking like animals" the boy pressed, earning an eye roll from the ginger.

"So you're certain it's underneath the lake?" Steve looked at the ninja.

"Have I ever lied to you?" Aiden looked at Steve.

"You once told me humans finally contacted aliens in the year 2023" Steve folded his arms. "and they were hot babe aliens"

"Yeah cause it's funny to see you drool over babes, even if they're not real," Aiden shrugged.

"He's not wrong," Robin nodded.

"Point is, Aiden's predictions have always been right," Nancy said. "so it has to be under there somewhere"

"Only one way to be certain" Max said and her boyfriend nodded.

"Someone's gotta go out there" Lucas finished.

"Luckily I have just the steed to assist us" Eddie smiled.

"I don't think a horse is gonna help," Steve said.

"Not that kind of steed, buddy" Aiden shook his head as Eddie tore off a tarp to reveal the same boat he'd been hiding in the past few days.

"She may be broken, but she'll work," the metalhead said.

"Okay, let's get this bad boy in the water" Steve clapped his hands, about to start pushing the boat.

"I got it" Aiden stepped forward, letting chakra flow to his hands and pushing the boat relatively easily on his own till it got into the water. "There ya go"

"Thanks, kid" Eddie ruffled the younger boy's dreads a little before getting into the boat.

"Robin," Aiden held out his hand to her.

"Oh,what a gentleman" Robin shook her head with a chuckle as she got in.

"Mama Steve" he then held his hand out to the older boy who rolled his eyes and used Aiden's shoulder for support instead, earning a fake scoff from the boy. "What kinda mother are you?"

"I told you to stop calling me that," The Harrington boy said.

"And yet, here you are acting like one" Aiden smiled before turning to his sister. "Nance?"

The older girl smiled and took his hand, getting onto the boat. "thank you,"

"Alright." Aiden immediately placed his hands into the cross hand sign, spawning a clone to life beside him, much to Eddie's shock. "I'm leaving him on the shore with them while I come with you"

"Absolutely not," Nancy shook her head.

"I know where the gate is," Aiden stated. "Plus, you know how the Upside Down is, Nancy.. I gotta come with you"

"The boat can only hold four people, wheeler" said Eddie.

"Who said I need to be in the boat?" Aiden smirked. Walking up to the lake,he immediately placed his legs on the water body's surface, standing right on the water and beside the boat.
