We want to tell you something

As we ride up in the Avenger's Tower elevator, I'm still super nervous. No idea why. I am absolutely sure of my decision. I guess I'm scared that one of the others might object. Not that that would change my mind or resolve.

Bucky: Shall we tell everyone together? Or do you want to take on people one by one?

Victoria: Together. Then we only have to answer questions once.

Bucky: Okay.

He squeezes my hand before turning to Jarvis.

Bucky: Jarvis? Can you please round up everyone and ask them to gather in the kitchen?

Jarvis: Of course Mr. Barnes.

In fact everyone is gathered in the kitchen when we enter. Nat, Thor, Bruce and Tony are eating, everyone else seems to have just entered the room. Everyone except Peter, who is at school right now. But since he already knows and has already given us his blessing, it doesn't matter that he isn't there. Before we can say anything, Tony forestalls us.

Tony: Female Parker, Barnes, what's so important that you've gathered us here?

I look at James who smiles and nods at me. Ok, let's tell them then.

Victoria: James and I wanted to tell you something.

Thor cuts me off before I can continue.

Thor: You're pregnant.

The way he says it is definitely not a question. Now it seems it's not just Peter who thinks that anymore.

Victoria: Not you too. No I'm not. Why does everyone think that?

Thor just shrugs, unimpressed.

Thor: The notion isn't entirely far-fetched. After all, James was willing to end up in the hospital wing again just to be able to have sex with you.

Oh God. While I know everyone here knows how hot James and I are for each other, I'm still kind of embarrassed to know how much they know about it. I blush and hide my face on James' chest. He just hugs me and answers Thor.

Bucky: No, Vicky and I are not pregnant.

Nat: Then what is so important that we all had to gather here?

Victoria: Well, I've been thinking about moving back into my house for a while. And...... and I asked James to move in with me and he said yes.

Sparking silence in which the others just look at each other before bursting out in laughter.

Wanda: Oh, that's the big news?

Nat: We all already knew that.

Victoria: Seriously?

Tony: Of course, I mean you told Peter.

Steve: Exactly, you could have just told everyone about it.

Sam: Although I have to say I'm hurt that I had to find out from Peter.

Bucky: You're lucky you even found out before I moved out.

Playfully, the two begin to wrestle. Even though James always acts like Sam isn't his friend, anyone who sees the two together knows better.

Victoria: Peter. I keep forgetting that this kid can't keep anything to himself.

I say while sitting down next to Wanda. At some point, Sam and James have put their bickering behind them and also sit down with us.

Steve: And when were you guys planning to take your stuff to Vicky?

Bucky: We wanted to do it today. Since it's not that much stuff, we should be able to do it in a day.

Tony: I don't think that's possible.

Victoria: Why not? I only have a few clothes here and James doesn't have that much more stuff either.

Tony: That's not what I meant. You can definitely do this in a day, but not today.

Confused, we all look at him.

Tony: You can move.... tomorrow. Today we celebrate. Sort of like a moving out party.

Shaking my head, I look at him.

Victoria: You just want to party, right?

Tony: Maybe.

Victoria: Well, then today we party and tomorrow James is moving in with me.

James pulls me into his arms and kisses the top of my head. I really have no idea why I was so nervous. How did I believe for a second that any of our family would object to us moving in together? Discussions about what to do with the two rooms that belonged to James and I immediately started. Until Tony eventually speaks a word of power. James room will remain our room in case we wish to stay in the tower and my old room would be made into another guest room. Sounds good to me. Eventually Wanda taps me on the shoulder to get my attention.

Wanda: If we're going to party tonight, it just calls for a girls' day out. Spa, hairdresser, shopping. What do you say?

Excited by the idea, Nat gets involved too.

Nat: Oh yes, we can also go for manicures and pedicures and we can already pre drink.

Victoria: Sounds fantastic! Let's go ladies.

We're already on our way to the elevator when I hear James.

Bucky: See, we're just talking about moving in together, and the next second she forgot about me.

When I turn around I see that he just said that to Sam and Steve. As if I could ever forget him. While Wanda and Nat are already going to the elevator, I go back to him.

Victoria: As if I could ever forget you.

I lean towards him and kiss him deeply. Let the others think what they want. As I break the kiss, James looks like he's in heaven.

Victoria: Bye baby.

Then I rush over to Nat and Wanda who are waiting for me in the elevator. Girls day, let's go!
