Hey Brother & let's get ready for the date

Eventually, after I got my emotions and the butterflies in my stomach under control, I got up, freshened up, made myself some breakfast - oatmeal with apple and banana - and sat on the porch. I still can't believe this is all really happening. I guess how I feel right now is how teenagers feel when they have their first love. Except I'm not a teenager anymore. But even though I don't know him enough to feel that way, I'm sure James is my first love. And again, just thinking about it makes my heart race like crazy. I can't wait for James to be back. And I can't wait even more to see what he has planned for later. Anything is fine with me as long as I can be with him - going out, pizza and a movie here at the cabin. After eating my breakfast, I do the dishes and decide to go swimming. Somehow I have to bridge the time until James is back. I've been swimming around for a while when, getting close to the cabin again, I hear my cell phone ringing. I swim back as fast as I can and climb back onto the porch. But by the time I got to my cell phone, the caller had hung up. I look at it and see that it was Aria. I call back, but only get the busy signal. I text her.

Victoria's Message: Hey A. Sorry, heard the cell phone too late and didn't get a hold of you when i called back. Out of town at the moment, decided to go away for a few days to process the whole situation with Colin and my job. I'll get back to you on Monday when I'm back <3

Knowing Aria, she just wanted to catch up on the latest gossip with me. God, if she finds out I'm actually dating someone, she's going to freak out. I'm about to put the phone back in my purse when it rings again. This time, it's not Aria, it's Peter. Peter? He never calls me when he's with the Avengers. That can't mean anything good.

Victoria: Hey brother.

Peter: Hey...... where are you? I was just at home and judging by the mail in the mailbox you haven't been at home the last few days.

Why was Peter at home?

Victoria: Um... yes... I... I spontaneously decided to go away for a few days. Just come out and clear my head. You....... you were going to stay with the Avengers all week, weren't you?

That would be typical if Peter changed his plans just now and I have to go back earlier.

Peter: Yes, that's still the plan. I just had to get something I forgot at home and got worried when you weren't there.

Thank God. Of course I would have gone back immediately if the situation had required it. I'm so happy that that's not the case. But I still have to reassure myself that he really wants to stay there until Sunday.

Victoria: You still plan to stay until Sunday, right? Then I wouldn't come back until Sunday.

Before Peter can answer, I hear someone enter the cabin. It can only mean that James is back. And immediately the butterflies rage in my stomach again.

Bucky: Vicky?

He shouts and smiles brightly when he sees me in the kitchen. I raise my hand and signal him that I am on the phone. Apparently Peter heard him anyway.

Peter: Was that a guy? Oh my god you're not alone are you?

I can't tell Peter that I went away with James. Think, think, think. Ok, sometimes you have to resort to little white lies.

Victoria: What? No! That... that was the TV.

Peter: Ah yes.........

That doesn't sound very convincing.

Peter: Anyway, I have to go. Just wanted to make sure you weren't kidnapped or something.

Victoria: Ok, I'll see you Sunday night then.
