"And so? What did you answer?" Jeisha asked nervously when I told her what Lennon and I discussed earlier at the court.

"I didn't answer him... I was in shock." I replied blankly, and both she and Lexi slapped their foreheads.

"He didn't ask, so it means he's not asking for your permission to court you!" Lexi squealed, clearly thrilled.

Is that a good thing? I don't even feel like I'm the girl in this situation.

"Well, that's kind of pushy..." Jeisha grimaced and sighed.

"So what are you going to do now? Will you just let him court you, or will you reject him?" Lexi asked in confusion.

I groaned at her question.

"I don't know! That's why I'm asking you guys for advice... Help me decide." I buried my face in my hands from all the stress I was feeling. Money used to be my only problem—now love's getting involved too.

"The thing is, do you like him?" Jeisha asked seriously, placing a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at her and thought deeply.

"As a friend, yeah... but... as a... Ugh—I don't know!"

"Through his courting, you'll get to know him better. And you'll find out if you really have feelings for him, too. So for me... give him a chance. You've got nothing to lose if you try, right?" Jeisha advised, and I fell silent.

She had a point, but I kept thinking about my friendship with Lennon. I feel like we can go far together. And if I get into a relationship with him, I think it'll just ruin our dreams.

"Don't pressure yourself, think wisely. Give yourself time to analyze. He'll wait for you anyway." Lexi told me.

They both said good things, but it still didn't help me.

"I still can't believe Sahara has a crush on you; that was the biggest plot twist of your senior high school journey." They changed the topic.

"Not for me. I predicted it. I had a feeling she was gay." Lexi said smugly.

"How?" we frowned at her.

"By her actions and the way she looked at you, especially when she got jealous of Lennon. Hello? It was so obvious. I didn't say anything 'cause I wasn't sure, but I always knew," she grinned and took a sip from her glass.

"Back to Lennon... do you believe he actually likes you?" They changed the topic again.

"In between... It's possible he likes me because we're both singers, but it's also impossible because he's surrounded by so many girls. I'm not the only girl in the world. He's so popular, and I'm sure he already knows a lot of beautiful and famous women in the industry."

"Like... Snow Gnatsum?" Jeisha asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Especially her." I grimaced and looked away.

"Oh my god, you're jealous of her! You like Lennon!!" Lexi shouted suddenly, pointing at me.

Jealous?? I haven't even met the girl!

"What chance do I have against her? She's the daughter of Summer and Winter Gnatsum. Her brother is Rhode. She comes from a rich and famous family here in Miracla, so of course, Lennon would like her. They're even friends."

"Girl, you have to hear yourself when you're sober!" they both laughed while recording a video of me.

"When you were introduced earlier to the whole campus, he stared at you like crazy, girl! Everyone noticed! They're really shipping you two now, and for sure the whole school's gonna watch your performance tomorrow!" Lexi added.
