"Let's go, Red!!" I cheered for them.
"Marry me, Raven!!!" My eyes widened at the people's shout near their band. People were really fantasizing over The Red!
"Ooh, calm down, Cells." Jax laughed as he tried to settle everyone through the mic. I think "Cells" is the name of their fandom.
"Thank you for coming to our Announcement Party, everyone," Magnus added with a smile.
"Why'd you come here? Who told you to?!" Raven joked, making everyone laugh.
"Well, obviously, we have a new album. And I know how excited you all are to hear it, but... why don't we sing Whisper in the Wind first?" Lennon said in his deep, sexy voice, sending the fans into a screaming frenzy!
That was their latest song, and people really really loved it. It made them even more famous. I looked to the side at their manager and saw the huge smile on her face. Clearly, she was proud of her boys.
They started singing. Most of the crowd was screaming, but I quietly just listened. I wanted to feel their voices. I wanted to understand what the song was trying to say. Lennon was singing with his eyes closed in the middle of the stage, playing the guitar.
He looks so handsome. He's so dreamy. Now I get it. The song was about a girl he left for his own freedom. I can't stop thinking about Sahara. She told me about their past.
Is it possible? Is he in love with her? I saw how his face changed when he saw the woman sitting next to me.
"Sahara?" I called out in shock.
I didn't know if she just arrived or had been there for a while. She looked at me but didn't say anything. She looked... fine! She didn't look sick. Not even heartbroken. So why didn't she attend last time?
"Can you hear the background sound of that song? It says my name... Sahara," she said to me without expression.
I paused to listen to check if what she said was true. At first, I thought it was just the wind. But it was actually her name...
How...
"Sahara—" I started.
"Are you two dating now?" I could hear the bitterness in her voice when she asked.
I couldn't answer from shock, but I quickly shook my head. Why would she even think we were dating?? Me and Lennon??
"I waited for him to come back... But he didn't... I saw the way he looks at you. He likes you, Roella. Give him the peace of love that he wanted," she said before standing up and quickly walking away.
I was left frowning at what she said. It's impossible. I know it is!
I didn't know if I'd regret what I was about to do, but I quickly ran after Sahara. I caught up to her just outside.
"Sahara, you have to perform with us for BOTB. You can't just leave us because of... Lennon." I didn't want to be too direct, but she was being unreasonable.
This is so unprofessional.
"He's not the reason why I left the band. I am not that pathetic... It's because of you, Roella. I can't stand performing with you while you're flirting with Lennon. You know how I felt about him. You knew! But you acted like it was all just normal eye contact or a freaking hand gesture. I can't stand being jealous of you. I'd rather leave the band than sing with a fake friend!" she shouted angrily at me and pointed at me.
"Sahara, I want you to know that I don't like Lennon... and he doesn't like me either. You! You're the one he likes. He even wrote a song about you, didn't he? So why are you still jealous of me? Especially over little things like that? There's no malice in any of it. And like I said before, the Dean just told us to do that to promote the Intramurals. That's it! I don't like Lennon! So stop being jealous of me!" I yelled back at her.
