"I don't know how I could repay you, but I promise... I will." I couldn't figure out the right words to say just to thank the people who helped me.
"This is like a honeymoon stage," Lennon said with a grin, brushing off the conversation with a joke.
"What's your plan?" he suddenly asked seriously. We were just hanging out in his living room, drinking red wine. We had just finished organizing my stuff earlier.
"I... I think I'll produce music with my band... Hope it'll work." I smiled at the end of my sentence and took another sip from my goblet.
"You started already?" he asked, placing his left arm on the back of the couch. I leaned in and rested my head there.
"Yeah, it's going pretty well..." I sighed and tried to find a peaceful place in my thoughts.
"Why don't you join The Red?" he said, and I stood up in surprise—it was like he hadn't even thought it through and just blurted it out.
"Are you serious?" I asked before answering, and he nodded.
"I have my own band, we have a contract with Z. I can't just leave them... And besides, I want to make my own name, aside from being your girlfriend," I said honestly, and he nodded again several times.
"Just remember that the offer will always be on the table," he said with a smile, set his glass down, and hugged me.
Lennon gave me a spare room to turn into my own studio, and I invited my band to rehearse there. Sometimes, the Red had rehearsals at the same time, but thank God the room was soundproof.
"Are we competing now? You're performing with us next week, right?" Jax teased me as we were all hanging out in the living room.
Two months had already passed, and our debut would be held next week. I could say that the Rockstars were ready.
"Come on, support a Z artist. It's our debut," I said sassily.
"Well, do you trust each other that much? Don't you have to lock your studio room at night? One might steal the other's ideas," Raven joined in on the teasing, but Lennon was the one who answered him.
"Piss off, man. We wouldn't do that to each other, right, Roe?" Lennon looked at me, and I went quiet, which made his friends tease us even more.
"I don't know, Leo. What Raven said just gave me a wonderful idea..." I crossed my arms and smirked at him.
"I'm kidding, of course! I don't have the guts to do that—and neither do you!" I said, laughin,g to take back what I said.
In the two months we had been together, we really got to know each other, and I never once doubted him about things like that because we trusted each other.
"You two are just crazy. How did you even survive each other? I would never date a fellow artist. That's such a dangerous move," Magnus chimed in.
I had asked myself that before too, but I never found an answer—because there was no answer. We just went with it, followed the flow like a rhythm.
We finally had some peace when his friends left. I cleaned up the mess and did my nighttime skincare routine before joining Lennon in bed.
"What took you so long..." he said sweetly, pulling me into his arms. I couldn't help but laugh because it tickled.
"I had to take care of my body."
"Your beauty is natural," he said gently, then grinned and pulled away from the embrace.
"Ugh, as if you'd still like me with a witch face and crocodile skin," I whined.
"I'd love you even if you were a cockroach," he said. I just clicked my tongue at his weirdness.
