"I'm sorry, ma'am. I got stuck in traffic. I've actually been here for a while... I'm on my way up to the penthouse now, ma'am," Marie explained when I answered her call.

"No, it's fine. Just go straight to Z Company—we'll meet there," I said as I continued getting ready.

"Okay, ma'am. I'm really sorry..."

"Alright, bye." I ended the call and hurried to finish getting ready.

When I was done, I grabbed my bag and headed straight to the parking floor.

Thank God my driver is back—just as the elevator doors opened, the car was already waiting. As soon as I got in, he stepped on the gas since we were already late.

I don't want to be called unprofessional just for being late. I have to make an excuse. Just saying I overslept isn't going to cut it.

I don't want them to make another issue about me again.

"I'm sorry for being late, that was so unprofessional," I said sadly to the staff, but they just smiled at me.

"It's alright, Roella. Actually, we had problems earlier because the setup wasn't finished yet. That gave us time to fix it," one of them said with a laugh, which made me feel relieved.

I just had my makeup retouched by my artist in the dressing room before I was called to the stage.

The host played a loud intro and even my new song, which made me smile.

"Please welcome, Roella Ellera!" When my name was called, that was my cue to walk on stage.

A bunch of lights immediately hit my eyes. My astigmatism isn't really helping me right now.

"Hello everyone," I greeted with a smile.

I didn't expect that so many people would be watching, even though I was told it was a live show.

"Have a seat, please. How are you?"

"I'm doing well, thank you for asking."

"How does it feel to step foot in Z Company again?" I knew that was going to be the first question; I already predicted it.

"Well... of course, it brings back so many memories. I'm just happy to be back."

"It brings back so many memories? Could you share some?" I got a little nervous at that question, worried where this might lead, but Lexi had already warned me to be ready for this, so if it happens, I'm prepared...

"Going to the studio here every day became part of my routine,  and working with excellent producers back then was a wonderful experience. Those memories helped shape who I am today. It just proves that the journey really is an important part of your career," I said.

"And of course, you're always welcome here. We're so happy you accepted our invitation."

"Of course, I never forget where I came from. That's also why I agreed to do this interview—because I miss Z." I couldn't stop smiling the whole time.

"Could you tell us more about your newest album, and what it's all about?"

"It's called C'est la vie—that's French for 'that's life.' Compared to my last album, which focused on love, this one is—just like the title says—about life: our experiences, our memories, our joys, our fears, or our sadness."

"I'm so excited to hear the whole album. When will it be released?"

"This coming August 8. Remember the date, guys—EIGHT EIGHT." I emphasized the date and looked straight into the camera with a smile.
