As a displaced goddess of life, disliking mortals had just been part of your everyday life. All they ever seemed to do was start wars, bicker over politics, and destroy the things you loved to create.
You couldn't stand being around them, so for th...

You were resting by yourself in the greenhouse on a rather stormy day, enjoying how the sky would light up and how the earth would shake from the force of the thunder. As much as you could, at least.
Bulma had worried about how severe this storm was, but you reassured her that you'd be fine. She and the rest of the household was out today, which was a rarity. Vegeta and Goku were training off world with Beerus, and she and the kids were visiting Goten and Chi-Chi. But with this storm, they'd definitely be gone longer than scheduled.
And Zamasu.... Zamasu was needing space, even away from you, even if he didn't say it. You didn't knw the reason why, but your heart was slightly clenched.
Had this been a test for you? With him suddenly gone so abruptly, you felt that maybe you were being clingy. You mean, you had gotten so used to being at the kai's side that you'd be following him around unconsciously at times... Maybe you were being overbearing.
You looked down, curling up against the side of the windowsill that faces the open yard. Wrapping your arms around your knees, you sigh heavily and rest your head on your legs. "I really am acting like a lovesick puppy. With a Kai no less. Why am I so hopeless?" You ask yourself under your breath.
"I don't believe that you are any less than I am myself, Y/N."
You jump, startled by Zamasu's voice cutting through the moment of silence of the storm. Lifting your head quickly, you see that there's a slightly unreadable look on his face, before the feeling of being overbearing comes back to you and makes you look down.
"Sorry... I... I'm not acting the way that I should and... I'm sorry for being a distraction to your own duties and stuff..." You mumble out, the thunder silencing anything afterwards that may have been said.
Zamasu simply held a hand out to you, making you look back up at him before you reach up and take his hand.
Gently pulling you to your feet, Zamasu kisses the back of your hand before he threads his fingers between yours, his forehead gently resting against your own. "There is no reason for you to apologize for, my rose. You have done nothing wrong, after all."
You relax, closing your eyes for a moment. "Do you want to talk about it... Whatever's bothering you?"
Zamasu lifts his head up enough to have his lips pressing against your temple, being quiet for a moment. "I believe that would be a good idea."
Both of you head inside as the storm rages on, deciding that the living room area would be the best area to relax in and talk while everyone is away.
Zamasu brews hot tea to enjoy, allowing you to rest your head against his chest as you sit on the couch together with your cups in hand. After a few moments of just listening to the ambience of the thunderstorm together, Zamasu speaks up.
"Master Gowasu wanted me to wait until my year was up to ask you, but now is as perfect of a time as any."
Lifting your head up to look at him, you nod softly to let him continue speaking.
"Would you like to stay in our world of Kai, to continue your apprenticeship under me? It will be rather tenuous, as you'll have to go through much more training, but... You'd always be by my side. And once I become the supreme Kai, perhaps... Perhaps we could change a few things, together."
Zamasu says thoughtfully, his gaze sliding to yours. Your cheeks are heated up as you think about what that would foretell. Setting your cup down, you turn to face him better, looking into Zamasu's eyes. "W-Well... I've already promised myself to you completely, but... But what if I'm not good enough to continue? What if... What if you get tired of me?" You ask quietly, looking down at your hands.
"Eternity with me... It wouldn't be too much for you to handle?" You continue, having self doubts about your own level of commitment. What if you caused more destruction than peace, both figuratively and literally? What if you did something that would cause Zamasu to no longer enjoy your presence, much alone love you?
"You are quite the stubborn handful at times. And it's no question that you can irk me in ways that are very special indeed. However, that's what makes me love you. I love your quirkiness, I love the way that even when you're irritated, you tend to be careful with your actions and decision making. I even love when you tend to make the smallest snores in your sleep. But you also have a way with how you care for everyone and everything, much more than you even care for yourself.
The only thing that I would change, would be the way in which you receive my love and support. You shouldn't have to worry about being on a schedule with me, to live the life you want, to enjoy even the most smallest things in this beautiful multiverse."
Your face is on fire as Zamasu sets his tea down, turning to face you fully as his fingers dance under your chin to keep you from looking away from him.
"I look into your eyes and see all of the things that you love about me without judgement. Even without speaking, I can hear the words in your heart that you hold only for me. Tell me, have you ever noticed that when we're together, we are in sync?"
Zamasu moves closer to you without letting your chin go as he speaks, crawling on top of you slowly and making you lay on your back.
When his chest presses against your own, your eyes widen a bit as you understand what he means.
Your heartbeat is literally matching his own. How long has he noticed this? Obviously enough to let you know.
"It's only natural that two divine beings would understand each other in both body and mind, but it is so very rare, and even more unheard of for those two to be split apart and find each other all over again in the same era, or timeline."
Zamasu runs his thumb over your bottom lip softly, his grey eyes being illuminated by a flash of lightning.
"I would walk through the white hot flames of hell if it meant being yours all over again, to receive all of your unrequited love. To embrace you, just one more time. I want to stay bonded to you my rose, in every way possible. Whether it be emotional bliss or physical rapture. When I'm asleep in your embrace, my dreams and fantasies of a beautiful utopia become a reality because of you. My intense hunger for perfection, my yearning for someone to understand me, you have fulfilled all of that by becoming mine.
And even if this world were to burn, I would be content because of you. Because of your love for me and me alone. And I do hope that you know that you are the only one I love, Y/N... I will purge the multiverse of all of its sins, and eviscerate anyone who threatens my perfect world, my perfect rose."
Zamasu finishes with a gentle intensity, not once breaking his gaze from yours. "Will you be willing to commit to me completely, and take up the offer of living with me on the Kai planet, even if just for a short while?"
You stare deeply into his eyes, in a stunned silence for a moment before you caress his cheek softly.
"Yes, I will."
(A/N: I've decided that this will be a full on Zamasu love story because he deserves all of the love! And yes, Goku Black is basically Zamasu but with one major and minor difference, but I don't like the idea of Goku being killed for this. Probably going to make a different book or two in the future, one shots for sure!)
