Cute But Not Cuddly pt 2

After the guys had eaten, and you had time to rest and freshen up, the four of you all set out to go retrieve the Dragonball.

You just wished that it was in a better and easier setting, but, what else was new?

You sigh a bit uneasily staring at the opening of a large cavern you all stand in front of, resting your hands on your hips. "You know, I think I'll just wait out here."

"Huh?! Don't tell me you're scared, Y/N!" Goku exclaims lightly as he turns to face you, making the other two look at you as well.

You scoff a bit, embarrassment heating up your cheeks. "I'm not scared! I just... I don't like it.. Can't you just Instant Transmission to the location of the Dragonball so we can leave?"

Goku and Goten tease you about being scared, but Zamasu's eyes are slightly narrowed in concern. You've never been afraid of traveling into unknown places, before. So this was a foreboding warning to him.

"It might be best to wait out here, Y/N. And you too, Goten." Goten's eyes widen at Zamasu's words. "Huh?! No way, I'm not scared!" You look at Zamasu, slightly relieved. "Your father and I can retrieve the Dragonball much faster... As a team... Than all of us. Who knows what's lurking in there anyway... Besides, you have a very important role to play in this. I'd like for you to protect Y/N." Zamasu tells Goten, before looking at you.

And then gives a very obvious gaze towards your stomach on purpose long enough that Goku and Goten take it as a hint at something very important.

Your embarrassment rises highly, and it doesn't help you when your arms wrap around your waist quickly. "Zamasu-"

"I promise to protect her!" Goten shouts determinedly, his fists balled up as there's a little fire in his eyes.

Goku grins as Zamasu nods, before the green Kai looks at you. Gently cupping your cheek, he places a kiss on your temple before whispering in your ear. "It's not going to entirely be a lie, somewhere down the line. But, I'd rather you and Goten not be in danger."

Your face is on fire, before you sigh and nod. Neither of you wanted Goten to be in danger. And neither did Goku, but he also wouldn't actually stop Goten from going into possible danger.

As the Kai and full-blooded Saiyan head into the cavern, you find an old tree stump to sit on while Goten floats crisscross applesauce in the air.

And once his father and the Kai have disappeared, Goten spins around to face you with a happy beam of confidence.

You look away from his staring, still feeling embarrassment from Zamasu basically gaslighting the situation. "Will I be an uncle?!" You choke a bit, rubbing the back of your head. "O-Oh, uhh, technically, but er... It depends on... Well... There has to be a real confirmation..?" You say all of this unsurely, resting a hand on your stomach.

You kind of hate that you're feeding into Zamasu's lie, but at the same time, you had been letting him--

Your cheeks burn hotter as you zone out, Goten floating closer to you and peering at your stomach curiously. "How long will it take until I'm an uncle? Wait how are babies born anyway?"

You chalked up, your embarrassment keeping the color in your cheeks as you internally pale. You were not having the birds and the bees talk! "Oh uhh, that's a question for Gohan or Bulma! They can definitely answer that better than anyone considering how smart they are, haha!"

Goten nods, smiling happily before he plops himself down on your lap in a cute manner. "Well, I'mma be the best uncle ever! I'll protect you and my uhh.. niece or nephew, yeah!" You look down at him, smiling softly and gently rubbing his spiky haired head. "I know you will, Goten. You'll be the best uncle ever."

Zamasu was looking around more carefully than Goku, both of them following the trail on the radar as they were getting closer to the Dragonball. Something had made you uneasy, but what was it?

"Maaan, this is taking longer than it should be.. Why can't we just fly to the Dragonball already?" Goku whines, pouting at the fact that the Kai wasn't taking any chances.

"It's better to be safe... Did you not see how nervous Y/N was? Something has to be in here that made her not want to explore this place." He mumbles, holding his chin in thought quietly. Goku looks at Zamasu, his hands resting on his own sash. "Because she's pregnant?"

Zamasu's cheeks burn before he coughs awkwardly, lifting his gaze to look around at the nearly pitch black surrounding. "Right.. However-"

Both of them tense up before Zamasu can keep talking as they both feel a weird wave of ki energy up ahead... And down below.

Looking at the radar, Goku's usual smile is replaced with a stern frown. "Whatever that is, the Dragonball is down there with it." He suddenly grins, feeling the excitement of a challenge going through him. Zamasu's eyes narrowed more. "This is the reason why Y/N and your son are safer outside of this cave... You're going to get us killed."

Goku laughed, grinning and starting to rush. "Let's go!"

Rolling his eyes, Zamasu follows behind the ecstatic Saiyan. However, the further down they go into the cavern, the more tense it starts to become from the overwhelming energy that's building up. Goku powers up to ss2, the light from his transformation helping aid in lighting up the way, but also giving them away at the same time. "You shouldn't do that, idiot."

"But I can't see where we're going! I don't even know how you and Y/N could even go through that underwater cave without bumping into something!" Goku complains, and it takes Zamasu a minute to understand what Goku was talking about before his eyes glared at the Saiyan sharply. "Were you following us?"

Goku pales before chuckling nervously. "Whoops, uh, a few times, sorry! Your energies would spike up a lot for no reason, so I thought something was wrong, hehe!"

Zamasu growls, but both of their attention is caught by the unknown energy suddenly dwindling to a calmer state. They slow down as they come to an underground opening, being in shock at what they see.

It's a very adorable looking creature that looks too fluffy for its own good, resembling something closer to a wooly cow with wings. It's asleep, rolling into its side cutely with a soft yawn without actually waking up.

Goku checks the radar as he's highly disappointed that it isn't a giant beast that he can fight, before blinking quickly. "Huh.. I don't actually see the Dragonball but it's right here..." He says, keeping his voice low.

Zamasu doesn't see it either, frowning as well at the fact that this creature isn't scary at all. Maybe you had just been nervous for nothing.

At least he thinks this until something else enters the area from another opening in the underground cavern.

This creature is much, much larger, and he and Goku quickly move out of view as the creature sniffs around suddenly, almost spotting them. It's a much more giant version of the cow, but with razor sharp teeth and deadly looking claw-like hooves.

"Whoa, that thing is huge..!" Goku whisper shouts, and Zamasu's glare can't help but get stronger as he looks at the Saiyan with obvious annoyance.

Because the creature has heard him too, and is less than happy as it starts rearing up to attack.

"... You really are an idiot."
