It had been several weeks since Goku Black had saved that mortal girl from the brink of death, and now he couldn't help but question his decision. Maybe he should have just let her meet her demise.

As soon as the woman regained consciousness, she was ready to throw punches and challenge him. It seemed like she had a bone to pick with him and no one else.

Gowasu, Zamasu, the children, and even you were spared from her usual bitter outbursts that stemmed from being rescued. However, she and Goku Black found themselves locked in constant arguments over the smallest things. From mere proximity to the food he provided, she found fault in everything he did.

But there was no denying that it injected a newfound liveliness into your lives.

With the woman monopolizing Black's attention solely through her arrogant stubbornness, you and Zamasu finally had the chance to focus on your own pursuits.

You were peacefully meditating with your son, while Zamasu patiently guided your daughter through the fundamentals of self-defense training.

Gowasu observed all of you from the outside table, savoring a cup of tea and wearing a gentle smile on his face.

Together, you were truly infusing this Kai planet with vibrant life.

However, the intense arguments between Black and the woman were both amusing and concerning. Yet, strangely enough, they seemed to have some unexpected benefits.

"You're the most infuriating mortal I've ever regretted giving attention to," Black muttered under his breath, his fists tightly clenched as he glared down at the woman, who defiantly met his gaze. "And you're the most arrogant deity I've ever been abducted by!"

They growled at each other fiercely, their heated exchange filling the air. Finally, she crossed her arms and challenged him, "Why did you even bother? My planet was destined for destruction anyway, so why spare me?"

Black found himself at a loss for a definitive answer, leaving the woman to press on.

"Was it because I resemble that woman? Was I just a rebound for you?" she questioned, her gaze fixed on him and not acknowledging your little family.

Black let out a soft scoff. "No... I sensed your energy that day... I saved you because... of your potential," he admitted, averting his gaze and placing his hands on his hips. "Although, perhaps I should have left you there to meet your demise. If you wish, I can take you back and let you face that fate."

The woman hesitated at the thought of enduring a living hell before being obliterated by an asteroid. "N... No... But... If it's possible, can I still purge? Or would that ruin everything?"

Black's eyes widened as her words reached his ears, and he stared at her for a long moment before a smirk formed on his face. "I am destined to become the God of Destruction. Purging is an integral part of my duty."

For the first time since their encounter, the woman looked at Black with a glimmer of happiness, grateful for the opportunity to engage in a genuine conversation with him.

After a few cautious moments, Black found himself accompanying the woman to her old apartment. She seemed much more elated now, perhaps because she believed there would be no real consequences with a God by her side.

"Alright, just to be clear, I'm not planning on going on a random murder spree or anything like that. I just need to tie up a few loose ends," she explained, her excitement palpable.

Black observed as she entered her apartment and retrieved a few belongings, following her closely as she now possessed a set of keys.

They eventually arrived at a garage lot, where she unlocked a spacious storage unit, revealing a remarkably sleek and impressive-looking motorcycle.
