To Universe 10 and Back Again

Zamasu was comfortably watching you sleep a little bit after the morning sunrise, a smile gracing his lips. He wondered how he had gotten so lucky, but he wasn't regretting any of it.

Leaning down, he pressed his lips against your cheek softly, enjoying the smile that appears on your face as you continue to sleep. He then moves down carefully towards your stomach, pulling the covers down gently enough to not disturb you, before he lifts your pajama shirt upwards to expose your skin. He softly placed a few more kisses on your stomach, before resting the side of his head against it gently, listening very carefully.

It took a few moments, but it was there. Very faintly, the sounds of two tiny and rapid beating hearts, still developing, but functioning.

Zamasu slightly wondered if it was considered cheating, having sensitive ears as a Kai, but he couldn't help himself. He was becoming excited. He had always watched other life forms, already grown into adulthood, seeing if they would make intellectual advancements and all that. But to actually have a hand in creating life, to be here to watch (or at least be in the presence of) that life from the very beginning, was a very new experience to him.

He only moved to lift his head once you started stirring awake, watching you open your eyes sleepily.

You covered a sleepy yawn, blinking your eyes a bit so that they adjusted before you felt the slight pressure on your stomach, making you look down to see your Kai being adorable.

"Good morning, my rose."

Your cheeks flushed before you smiled softly, chuckling a bit. "Morning, love. What are you doing, other than being really cute right now?"

Zamasu hummed softly, resting his cheek back on your stomach again and closing his eyes. "Listening to our children. It's very tranquil, actually."

Your cheeks flushed worse as you listen to him. Damn his alluring voice and the level of cuteness that kept rising with him!

You hum shyly, reaching down carefully to run your fingers through his mohawk lovingly. "I don't think I've ever seen you this calm before-"

Your quiet morning is interrupted by a large boom somewhere nearby, making you both sigh. So much for that, because coming with that noise would be Bulma's already awake household. "Maybe we should have put the capsule house further away." You mumble offhandedly, Zamasu giving a slight chuckle as he placed a few kisses on your stomach again before carefully getting up. "Had it been up to us, we'd be much further away. But, Mrs. Briefs wants us both to go with her for these 'necessities', today."

You nod, sitting up carefully before giggling as Zamasu helps you out of bed. "It'll be fun. Also, I'm not helpless just yet, Zamasu. I can still move around on my own." Zamasu looks away a bit. "Well yes, I know, but I don't mind doing this either."

You smile, carefully leaning up and kissing his cheek. "Thanks for being so thoughtful. Now, let's get ready for the gang and today's activities."

Today's activities consisted of just about everyone today that usually stayed at the Brief House. Highly unnecessary, but fun. And with the promise of getting food during this, of course the full blooded Saiyans had joined this trip.

You made sure to have a few books on what to expect, as most of the items bought were.. well, just about the entire baby store thanks to Bulma. The bluenette also made sure that you had maternity necessities, including a giant pregnancy pillow as one of the many comforts.

Talks about being on Universe 10 popped up too, considering the fact that by the time the babies were due, you may not be able to travel back to Earth, but you promised that you and Zamasu would definitely be traveling back so Auntie Bulma and the gang could meet your children once it was safe to do so.
